A Warning for Bungie
Destiny, or any Live Service game, needs to invest in PvP in order to satisfy the player base.
The seasonal model will always do well the first few weeks...but the game needs to have fresh maps and modes in the PvP and PvEvP space to keep us coming back.
It's really as simple as that. Invest in maps and modes for Crucible and Gambit...and we'll keep coming back to play.
Rewards and cosmetics are also key, and if you do it right, you'll get the player population up, and people will buy other cosmetics in the store. But do it wrong, and not only will no one want to buy cosmetics, but they'll be less interested in playing at all.
If no one plays, that is a sign that you're doing it wrong.
Stop being cheap, we all know it'll cost you loads of money in the short run, but the ROI as a consumer friendly company in this economy will pay HUGE dividends in the long run, and with your next IPs.
Don't say I didn't warn you.

Improve pvp to satisfy the destiny 2 playerbase? Roughly 10- 15 % of the entire playerbase really plays pvp consistently. 90 - 85 % does NOT. I'd say you might wanna play a game which focusses more on pvp rather thn pve. Also, judging equallity on this game, it will never achieve being a true competitive game. So.... take my advice and see it as an arcade shooter. Your frustrations will fall off very quickly -

Plenty of studios made terrible games for them to make something great afterwards Destiny was never about PvP ...always been a side mode and my guess is that its been pushed by activision and now they are stuck with it And if they were to announced that PvP will get nothing anymore I'm guessing maybe 10% would quit ....

Apparently, they are raking in money, and people are still playing PvP. Those metrics have to change before there's any incentive for them to do anything.

30 RepliesThis game wasn’t built with pvp in mind. You will need to wait until marathon to get a pvp focused game from bungie. If I’m not mistaken I believe destiny has substantially higher number of pve players vs pvp players. Also I don’t know why someone would want to play destiny pvp when there are just so many better options out there. Why limit yourself to the bottom of the barrel pvp experience

No they don’t they have proof of this since shadow keep. The game only need 1 more big expansion and the series is done. We have all paid for games like marathon and Mather they don’t need us anymore any money that get now is just a bonus. Why don’t ppl get this concept
