How anyone can take pvp seriously with the way it is right now or even want to go in there is crazy. Bungie hasn't cared about it for years and we have seen that and we can see it. They just completely ignored it. l doubt the population is that great for it.
Bungie hasn't cared about it for years and we have seen that and we can see it.
They've cared about it plenty...but what they haven't done is allowed it to flourish by spending money on maps, modes and rewards. It's because it's a FTP game. They can't charge for PvP maps without splitting up the playerbase. They have dedicated a lot of time and effort into the Comp playlist, and Trials weapons a little. They are still trying to make Iron Banner fresh by creating 3 unique modes in it. Next season they're introducing another mode called Checkmate that will feature heavy gun play over ability spam. They do care, it shows. The problem is that they aren't doing enough with new maps, modes and rewards that matter to keep people coming back...as much as they do with PvE. Granted, they lose money as these things arent monetizable...but that is my point. Invest now, and you'll reap the rewards in the future with their other IPs.
