Too many price tags.
Anniversary Pack: $25
Witch Queen: $40
Each season: $10/e $40 total
Dungeon Keys $20
If I bought all of these separately it would amount to $125. This excludes any additional silver for Eververse cosmetics of course.
Even if I were to buy Witch Queen Deluxe it would still total out to $125.
If I were to buy the Witch Queen Deluxe + Anniversary Pack it would still total out to $120.

(Edit: Completely forgot about the new "Upgraded Event Passes" which are $10 each for each event.
Dawning: $10
Guardian Games: $10
Solstice: $10

Totals out to an extra $40 pear year give or take with the possibility of new annual events on the way.
So $165 or $160 every year.)
I live in Florida and was recently evicted because my landlord doubled my rent. I don't have these kinds of funds to just be throwing down the drain. I'm sure there are many other people in the same situation as me.
I spent $60 on Elden Ring and that game will last me multiple years. That vs. Destiny 2 which requires $100+ a year just to continue playing the game I bought in 2017.
It seems Destiny 2 is becoming a game meant more for the higher class and it's sad to see.

7 RepliesI bought the whole thing for $100$. 1 year of fun for me as a hobby. That’s $8.33 a month so I have no issues with what it actually breaks down to money wise. Cheapest hobby I’ve ever had for sure.

1 ReplyI just wish Bungie & other video game manufacturers would just sell the games for what they are worth. I was paying $49.99 for games back when Snes was the hot console back in 1990. My last ps5 purchase was 69.99. I really wish bungie would just sell all of the content & loot for one price. Expansion, dungeons, raids, trials, seasons, events, etc. and all the loot that the devs produce for all this content put as in-game rewards for playing the game.

4 RepliesYep. One of the main reasons (among others) I didn’t buy TWQ and have slowly stopped playing. It sucks because I WANT to play, but the devs and executives do not care and I am obviously not their focus of a player anymore. I really liked playing with my mom and sibling but $300-375 for us is WAY too much. It’s turned into a sub “game”. (Remember they updated their EULA back in Oct to change the wording from “game” and “own” to “theme park” and “limited timed access”.)

12 RepliesYou need to get your priorities straight if you're struggling to find $10 a month. Majority of players who play destiny are between 25-40. We all have jobs and money. $10 is a small price to pay for entertainment. Have you checked food prices?

Simple stop buying games on day one and wait for an price drop when they have sales on Black Friday it’s like Now for £449.99 you can get an PlayStation 5 with Horizon forbidden west just only price of the console If the game is on disc you can trade it in for another game or put the cash towards something else.

But Bungie post on Facebook -blam!- 137 MILLION people have logged in to Destiny 1 and 2 since launch in 2014. Think about that for a second. Let it sink in. 137 million people. All quit this game forever, 99% due to Bungie's actions, inactions or the game lacking content and being nothing but a grind fest. Destinytracker.com says 679k logged in yesterday. When you LITERALLY have over 99% of every person quit your game and refuse to come back, you have to milk the few people that are even left for every dime they have. Why else is your post showing such disgusting costs in just ONE year. $35 Anniversary Pack. $100 Deluxe Witch Queen. There is literally no other mainstream game in Canada that can charge you $135 just for 1 year of content. That is more than the cost of two full new games! Do you utters hurt? It is only gonna get worse. They literally can't possibly get more people to commit to this game. For -blam!- they can't even get people to play and they made it free to start.

I only bought stuff up until Forsaken, and only 1 season after that (The Rasputin one) because my friend wanted to try out the game. Didn't play since last year december, and even then I was just logging in to see if anything was new or changed at all. I played Shadowkeep and Beyond Light with the 1$ game pass, and I was appalled that they have the audacity to ask for 40$ for these hot trash piles, and ask money for the seasons too. AND on top of all this, they are consistently deleting content you already bought, "rotating out" expansions. -blam!- that. Anybody with half a brain left sees that this is a terrible deal. Just quit. Don't buy into this scheme, find another game. You are only fueling the fire, people coming to the forums complaining that "The content they bought is -blam!-" doesn't do anything. You already bought it, Bungie cares -blam!- all. You can be 100% sure this game exists solely to milk the remainder of the playerbase to fund Matter and the chinese project. They are preying on stupidity and addiction, and the geriatric playerbase with the superiority complex.

17 RepliesWorld of Warcraft is $200 per year for the subscription. To get everything in Destiny now, you have to pay $160. The amount of content in WoW eclipses Destiny. It's not even close. We are almost paying the same as a subscription based MMO yet we only get 1/50th of the content. They charge $160 for a year and we only get 1 legendary gun for a 3 week event, copy and paste in brand new activities like Psi Ops Battlegrounds. The throne world is empty with nothing to do. Master Raids don't even get new armor sets. Trials only gets 1 single new armor set per year. Crucible hasn't had a new map in 3 years. Iron banner isn't even getting a new armor set with an entire rework! It's mind blowing. Why are we paying so much money when they barely add anything into the game? Think about how many raids/dungeons/armor/weapons/complete class changes WoW gets over the course of the year, and it's only $40 more. It's sickening.
