You need to get your priorities straight if you're struggling to find $10 a month.
Majority of players who play destiny are between 25-40. We all have jobs and money. $10 is a small price to pay for entertainment. Have you checked food prices?

Good lord I spend about £12.75 on fish and chips For two people per week.

Food is mandatory, entertainment can be obtained elsewhere and I have Warframe where I've spend $0 over 9 years and have everything just by playing with nothing locked if I don't want to spend money.

Edited by reenry: 5/20/2022 10:06:56 AMI play Warframe. MR 13. Grind is 10x times as longer as Destiny 2. Its a game you invest years into for everything. Its not your typical live service game. Destiny 2 is a pay for your seasonal content. Warfame makes money off there plat market, Destiny makes money off of seasonal content. While yes Warframe is more rewarding the more you put into it, its not comparable to Destiny 2 in anyway possible.

Warframe is great to you yet you lurk on these forums? Ok buddy. I too have played warframe. The grind there made me more sick. Hows the endgame over there? Still nonexistent im guessing.

Grind in Warframe made you sick and for some reason, the grind in destiny isn't with pinnacle, artifact and powerful on every season? As for endgame? It's already there, just not your usual "challenging" and "difficult" by making you underpowered by deliberately making the enemies beyond power cap, that kind of "endgame" is so overused

Yeah I’m not understanding how anyone thinks they’re being robbed when you look at the cost. I get complaints about meta or certain directions that were vastly unpopular like sunsetting but to complain about the cost is absurd. It’s the cheapest hobby I’ve ever had.

Where’s the demographic breakdown of those stats?
-
Do a google search buddy. Destiny 1 came out 8 years ago. Many of us were teenagers. Now we're working with jobs in our 20s+. Old game, older gamers. Gaming demographic hasn't really changed much since then. It's still 40% of players between 18-40.

My experience has been matching with teenagers and young adults entering/completing college, as well as older players who fit the demographic you claim to be the majority. If we are to use my anecdotal experience instead of your speculation, destiny has a broad mix of players in several age groups. Without a more detailed breakdown, we have no idea what the majority age group is. If I had to take a guess based on my anecdotal experience, I would guess that 18-40 years of age makes up significantly more than 40% of the player base.

It's $10 a month right now. They're now charging for dungeons separately. That's a $20 price tag right there for next season alone. Who knows what else they'll start charging for. Regardless of price it's just blatant scummy business practice. Shattered Throne came with Forsaken. Pit of Heresy came with Shadowkeep. Prophecy was free. Grasp of Avarice came with the anniversary pack. They just casually took one of the biggest chunks of content next season and are selling it for $10 without reducing the price on the season pass. $10 may not be much for you, but that's about 10 meals for me right now. $10 wasted on something that, prior to next season, was included in the content I already purchased.

Like I said, you need to get your priorities straight. Especially since you're trying to live on 1$ beans and rice.

My priorities are straight. That's why I'm complaining. It's because I have higher priorities that I probably won't be able to enjoy next season for a few weeks/months because Bungie has decided to separate the main thing I was excited for. I had $10 to spend. Not $20. Regardless of my own person you just completely ignored my call-out on scummy business practice. There's no way you can possibly think that Bungie has ample reason to separate the dungeons and making them cost the same as the season passes other than "Just another money grab."
