Reality is we are being milked like cows.
The population is so low.
-blam!- is average days logins.
But Bungie post on Facebook -blam!- 137 MILLION people have logged in to Destiny 1 and 2 since launch in 2014.
Think about that for a second. Let it sink in.
137 million people. All quit this game forever, 99% due to Bungie's actions, inactions or the game lacking content and being nothing but a grind fest. Destinytracker.com says 679k logged in yesterday.
When you LITERALLY have over 99% of every person quit your game and refuse to come back, you have to milk the few people that are even left for every dime they have.
Why else is your post showing such disgusting costs in just ONE year.
$35 Anniversary Pack.
$100 Deluxe Witch Queen.
There is literally no other mainstream game in Canada that can charge you $135 just for 1 year of content. That is more than the cost of two full new games!
Do you utters hurt? It is only gonna get worse. They literally can't possibly get more people to commit to this game. For -blam!- they can't even get people to play and they made it free to start.

That's less than 10$ a month to play The event cards are cosmetics only and aren't needed to play the game You are forgetting 1 key point ....unlike elder ring D2 is a game that's is constantly being worked on....which mean employee to pay and material ,rent ect.
-
680k is pretty solid considering the fact that we are literally at the end of the season.
-
680k is pretty solid considering the fact that we are literally at the end of the season.
That’s not even the actual number. It was over 800k that logged in yesterday.

It's not the biggest game in the world but despite its age it's still alive, seemingly profitable and has survived at least three "Destiny-Killers"
-
Your math is wrong. I spent $100 & got the deluxe edition with the dungeon
-
It's Canadian prices idiot. My math isn't wrong, you just think you are the only country in the world.

Too bad he said he lived in Florida 😂

Edited by LikwiD_SmOkE22: 5/20/2022 10:08:39 PMKinda funny how people like yourself love to talk wreckless behind a screen. Gotta love the safe space these forums provide for a person like yourself. Calling people idiots yet you purchased the 30th anniversary dungeon separate from the deluxe bundle which included the dungeon & the full year for witch queen.
-
I mean he’s not wrong. You are an idiot. Don’t try to play victim just cause you got served.
-
Nobody is playing victim here.. guy is crying about prices meanwhile the deluxe edition for witch queen was $100... anyone that spent money separately are the ones who aren't that smart.

Found another person to block, nice
-
I'm waiting for the day where so many folks get blocked by others for differing opinions, that the forums actually seem quiet to them. It sounds funny lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

THAT... that was your reply to his post? Why take the time to post that? LOL
THAT... that was your reply to his post? Why take the time to post that? LOL
I guess it makes them feel special because no one pays attention to them?

Took about 5 seconds, just like this one
-
That, and you, mean nothing to me.

That statistic applies to all games, life and activities. There can't be 100% engagement all the time. Eventually 5% of community keeps the games alive. Elden Ring had a 95% drop rate. Halo died out. All single players get dropped.

Edited by MattTheBelieber: 5/20/2022 2:30:15 AMFalse. Pretty much nothing is hated more than Destiny and has had as many people play it and leave it. And false again. Overwatch has 7,236,022 people playing it yesterday. Destiny had 679,000. You need not sacrifice your intelligence just to defend Bungie's horrific choices. And so what is Elden Ring had 95% drop. A) It is a game you complete eventually, then stop playing. As are most story games like ei Borderlands. B) Destiny is still worse than your example because it has had an EXACT 99.504% of players quit and never returned.

Edited by Bore: 5/21/2022 2:59:33 PM
Source?
You can use Charlemagne for the most accurate daily population numbers for Destiny. There is no site giving accurate population counts for overwatch. There are sites that can predict the number of players, but none of them say 7.2 million in a day. I do believe I know where they got that number from though. Article link
According to Active Player, Overwatch racked up at least 5 million average players each month in 2021, peaking as high as 7.3 million. In this, there have been a peak of around 500,000-600,000 daily players.
Of course those are not actual stats, just predictions. Even the very website that lists them tells you not to treat them as facts. Active Player
All data presented by ActivePlayer.io are all estimated data and should NOT be used as factual reference.
You’ll notice that the op didn’t provide a source for his data. That was done on purpose.

Your source? Www.destinytracker.com

Edited by Bore: 5/21/2022 11:17:05 AM
Your source? Www.destinytracker.com
Charlemagne is a far more accurate way of looking at the population. You also clearly didn’t pull your numbers off of Destiny tracker. Feel free to link your source for the overwatch numbers. I think I know where it’s from, but I want to make sure you didn’t actually use what I think you used.

I’d love to know where to see actual player population. As for destiny tracker as of right now it claims for me 661 K players in pve the last 24 hrs. So don’t think op is lying. The numbers they claimed aren’t hundreds of thousands off. Number seems a little low to me tho if OP is assuming that 661 K pve is the max population of players in the game. There are players like me who don’t touch pve and only play pvp at the last couple weeks of the season. As for overwatch according to https://playercounter.com/overwatch/ the player count op said is completely exaggerated. Around 700 K active players as of making this post. If that’s true tho it’s extremely impressive considering it’s only pvp, the game has heavy limitations on what class ur allowed to play and could have wait times exceeding an hour. So while the current player count isn’t in the millions it should be noted that the game seems to be good enough that the player population is willing to put up with the harsh demands the game requires while only being slightly lower in player count to destiny which is much more forgiving in player activity and despite everything overwatch is completely blowing destiny pvp out of the water. That site also claims 900 K players on destiny currently so idk how much it can be trusted vs destiny tracker. If around 300 K players only played pvp and 400 K ish played pve with 200 K playing both pve and pvp then the numbers add up to what destiny tracker is currently claiming. Changing the numbers slightly as the population potentially grows throughout the day.

It doesn’t track all players, but it tracks a good chunk of them. There is no tracker that’s more accurate. Picture The website you linked for is overwatch isn’t accurate in the slightest. It predicts the population using network traffic.
