Sleeper Sim & Outbreak Should Be Able to Make Warmind Cells

Outbreak Perfected can be debated because of the weapon technically being a modified warmind gun with SIVA, but Sleeper Simulant TOTALLY counts as a warmind weapon and should be able to generate warmind cells. Sleeper kinda sucks right now, so this would be an easy and cool way to make it better.

      • I’ll say one thing, as it is outbreak isn’t worth the exotic even with the catalyst, in pve anyhow. Either make it better, or warmind cells would definitely be an alternative.

        • Agreed and Polaris Lance as one of the Exotics to make Warmind Cells, it is a bit of a Ikelos weapon because of a eververse skin and did originate as a weapon belonging to the Brays. Same with the Legendary variant.

          • What we ‘need’ is seasonal mods in the current fashion on gauntlets allow whole weapon type to create warmind cells. Not just fixed weapons of which the legendary version eventually become redundant aswel.

              Outbreak with Nanites and Warmind Cells would cause the game to crash Old Gen couldn’t handle it Sleeper would be ok ,zap a major then kill the redbar adds with the warmind cell

              • Could help keep Warmind mods relevant since all those weapons are being sunset soon, unless Bungie thinks cells are too much fun and therefore have to go bye bye for good...

                    I think sleeper should be able to stop all champions, to make it viable Edit: it is nice how outbreak is still a good exotic, one of the reasons why I came back to D2 because of it so it has a special place in my heart as my favorite/ best exotic👀

                    • I'd like to see Sleeper function kind of like Divinity, except it only procs on Sleeper crits (since the aim assist was nerfed a few seasons ago) and the damage is scaled between crits and non- crits... that way it prevents boss melting for inaccuracy. Just something different... Sleeper is pretty much useless at this point

                        • Honestly it should be, but bungie for whatever reason [i]really[/i] does not like sleeper, it just can’t catch a break with the nerfs. As much as I do like the orbital strike idea people have for sleeper, I think that should be it’s own exotic as that would destroy sleepers pulls identity, and I do like the whole rail gun feel to it. If bungie went more into the rail gun feel then I think it would be much better One option would be that holding down the charge button longer increases the damage. They already have this with bows and devils, so it would make sense if they made this an actual perk. So many games have this sort of gun mechanic I’m surprised destiny doesn’t Another option would be to make it so that whatever sleeper hit, such as an enemy or wall, would create and explosion (of varying size) as irl rail guns have so much force to them that they make small explosions when striking something, and would still voice and pierce. I’m fine with the second one not being a thing because that sounds a bit busted on the game trying to handle all the assets/programming end A pretty boring option would be to give it a champion mod, but I don’t think a weapon should be given this weapon to make them good because it makes it so situationally good that you can’t buff it without it destroying whatever has a lot of champions. Also, just because something has a champion mod doesn’t mean it’s good, an example of this would be leviathans, which is alright, don’t get me wrong, but it’s basically carried by that damage modifier [b]BUT HEY, THATS JUST A THEORY! [u]A GAME THEORY[/u][/b]

                            Same with Ikelos weapons all tied to rasputin. EDIT meant same AS the ikelos weapons to avoid further confusion.

                            • Sleeper could use a buff of some kind but I don’t think buffing outbreak is really needed as it’s already a really nasty weapon even without the catalyst
