PLEASE bring back Amplified damage resistance
Amped Up While amplified, gain damage resistance.
This was a mod on the Season of the Deep artifact that needs to be brought back. Arc subclasses (except maybe Stormcaller) are pretty bad in high-level PvE without some kind of health regen or tank ability. The speed boost is neat, but it’s pretty useless when compared to Overshield, Devour, Restoration, or Woven Mail.

  • I'd appreciate moving speed boosters 15% dr into amplified, then, increasing the dr to 30% once speed booster procs.

  • Why not buff the Arc Fragment that gives DR instead as a mid-ground. The fragment could give: - increased DR when surrounded - increased DR when amplified Have them stack. Maybe even give them a small stat nerf if they need balancing. Arc are some of the squishier classes by design, but I don’t think this would be too bad

    • Arc is my favorite subclass and I would appreciate more survivability, however the faster ability regeneration and speed are a good tradeoff. Orb pickup can restore health with mods and you can produce many orbs thanks to the ability uptime. Amplified armor was very fun though, almost as much as classy restoration, so based on previous Artifact returns I doubt it would ever coming back in it's original state. That being said, if it was a fragment then I would never take it off!

      • What a shame that there is no fragment that gives damage resistance for arc. Oh wait there is🤓

        • It’d be nice to just give Amplified more to do generally. It always stuck out as the bit of arc kit I never really found much value in.

          • That would be good especially since arc has very low survivability

I'm not sure how reasonable it would be as a permanent addition, because it's so easy to have a high uptime on Amplified. That said, I think they could absolutely crank up the damage resistance that Speed Booster gives. It's currently 15%, that could genuinely go to 50% or more without being an issue, to roughly match Void Overshield and Woven Mail; the indefinite duration countered by the fact you can't really do anything other than move while it's active. That would make it a lot better for allowing the melee classes to actually get into melee range safely, as that's what triggers Arc's main health regen sources.
