I miss bottom tree dawnblade.

Hello Toast here with a post. I miss bottom tree dawn. It was awesome then when solar 3.0 came around they got rid of it. I miss it. I wish it would come back... With love from a wet Toaster. :)

I miss any of the old voidwalker melees the new melee doesn't feel good in PvE, and in PvP it feels situational.

    • Danwblade would be good if they gave the Sid From Ice age helmet back it’s old perk. Made DB usable in Endgame PvE. Now it’s the WORST PvE super in the game.

      • I can relate with you, but not on bottom tree dawnblade. Middle tree dawnblade and voidwalker were my personal 2 picks for cruicible. Middle tree became a choice for me when boots of the assembler released. I enjoyed playing support in cruicible. I still can with solar 3.0, but im upset that everyone got the WHOLE ENTIRE PERK TREE. The melee ability was really usefull, and having yout regular grenade with a healing grenade was amazing. Over time i learned how to use it offensively, and swap to supportive gameplay when needed. Middle tree void was as impactfull as i wanted bottom tree void to be in cruicible. The melee ability was a dam near 1 shot, all your void abilities refunded eachother too. Handheld supernova is unfortunately irrelevant now, but i kinda wish they could make it a skill shot that 1 hit kills again, since throwing knifes, flux grenades, and thunderclap exist. For those who might need to hear it a second time, i wish hamdheld supernova could 1 shot again, but for it to be a "SKILL SHOT". We as a community did ask for this. The 3.0 subclass system was severly requested and anticipated. We just didn't expect to lose anything in the process. We are rarly careful what we ask for.

          • Literally all we need is a 3 fragment aspect that causes an ignition when you kill a scorched target. We already have a fragment that makes ignitions cause scorch so we’d instantly have the chain explosions back if we had that as an aspect.

          • I have a old exotic idea that I made to replace bottom tree dawn. But it didn't do well on the forums. NIKA'S DREAM: kills with solar abilities cause a ignition. Kills with ignitions while dawnblade is active increases it's duration and on super end some super energy is refunded. (Up to 50%super refund requires 10 kills.)

            • Posting this here because of outreach towards Bungie and people in this thread who can't think logically. Currently, Warlocks across all four subclasses have only two exotics that affects any super outside of extra regeneration : Geomags, Dawn Chorus. Currently, Chaos Reach just barely comes close to Thundercrash Cuirass, i think it is the neighborhood of 40-50k below. This damage is WITH Geomags, making it a requirement if you want to run Chaos Reach. Currently, Dawnblade by itself cannot cause scorch. That effect only happens with Dawn Chorus, making it a requirement if you want to run Dawnblade. Chaos Reach takes around half of a damage cycle to fully deal its damage, and the damage figures are only obtainable if the boss doesn't move. By the time Chaos Reach ends, a Thundercrash Titan has already dumped most if not all of their heavy. Dawnblade's damage output is so laughably low that any use outside of PvP is literal trolling. Even then, Dawnlbade is currently bugged, sometimes it wont register a hit on a target (this bug happens in both PvP and PvE). Before the Solar 3.0 changes, Warlocks were asking for a Dawnblade buff or a super that could compete with Well that actually deals damage to targets, viable enough for GM's. During this same time (before the 3.0 revamp) Dawnblade saw two uses : PvP (top tree), one room in one GM (the boss fight arena of Hollowed Lair, Bottom tree). With the 3.0 revamp, top and bottom tree Dawnblade was rolled into one super, meaning that half of the functionality of each tree was either removed or rolled into fragments/aspects. Solar Warlocks did not receive a third super (despite Gunshot still broken down into two supers). Before the Arc 3.0 changes, Warlocks were asking for a buff to Chaos Reach for two reasons : 1. To match the damage profiles of other supers allowing Warlocks to compete and use something in PvE other than Well. 2. It didn't have enough synergy with the subclass to warrant the cast time and time spent away from dumping heavy for DPS. With the 3.0 revamp, Chaos Reach was left untouched, as was most of the subclass. Arc Soul by itself is an Aspect, and there is not an Aspect or Fragment that augments or affects any other damage profile for the subclass. This include Grenades, Melees, Supers. It is also important to note that Tickle Fingers Top and Bottom tree were both rolled into one super, and Warlocks did not receive a third super in it's place.

              • Whoever oversaw the Subclass changes needs to be let go. All four were really bad for Warlock - the first mainly down to timing and knee-jerk over-nerfing whilst overbuffing other Classes and leaving them.

                • I miss extra stability on precision kills in gunslinger. I miss extra super energy on precision hits in gunslinger. I miss my “wallhacks” on Void hunter that are now completely gone. I miss ballistic slam increasing damage and reloading weapons on arc titan. I miss sliding over ammo for extra damage on arc titan. Every single thing from bottom arc hunter is now a fragment with -10 😂 Everyone lost stuff… every single 3.0 Why is it only warlocks constantly crying about it?

                    • Yeah bro? What about stasis hunters being completely useless. What about bottom tree gunslinger removed completely? No more stability buffs? Boohoo Warlocks, sure sure. Well I had to get over it, and now you have to get over it. Put on your big boy pants and make the best of it, these 3.0 systems have their ups and downs

                      • I miss when Daybreak was a good super too dude. They took away the aggressive tracking, the extended super on kills, the explosions (NOT IGNITE), they took away the super speed on burst glide only for some fking reason, and Phoenix Dive only activates once per super. But apparently no we’re just whinelocks who are over exaggerating how bad our subclasses got dragged down…

Old Bottom Tree dawnblade was way better at crowd clearing. How did they make all these dumb key words to specialize in explosions and it requires so much set up...just to be weaker? The Chain explosions from melee and grenades with Sunbreakers was just fine and did the same thing and the super could absolutely clean house with crazy uptime. Aside from occasional boredom, I'd never use ANY of these new 3.0 classes for over Shadebinder and I'd only use Solar if I needed to be a Healing Well buff Slave, not for its Scorch nonsense.

                                • It's kind here only thing gone is the super refund. They fused most of the benefit into top and I still can icarus dive, I never run well on solar because my build is aerial and evasion focused. Warlocks gotta start reading the fine print and building versus seeing what's gone and not at what is here. No shade at you or malice just the different opinion and if you want options I can happily share some of mine. I used to hate Dawnblade but it's grown on me since the changes. I don't have to run ophidia to be good or transversive.
