Bungo can ban for joining fireteams but not cheaters or recovs. NICE

How are u gonna ban someone for breaking the CoC, but youtubers and streamers break it everyday by sharing accounts. I see some people aren't understanding what I am trying to get at here. So lemme explain for u. DMG stated on Twitter these players have been banned for breaking CoC okay. The CoC of this game is broken every minute of every day, and yet there are never any bans because of it even with people making videos using others accounts, or streaming recovs. Bungo got annoyed so they banned these people because there was a glitch in their system, not just a ban but apparently a permanent ban which I find ridiculous. If DMG used different wording on Twitter fine, but he blamed it on breaking CoC which is now shown as a double standard. But we all know bungo can't keep their word so keep on breaking CoC u probably won't get banned unless it directly effects them.

Do you just show up to someone's house expecting not to be asked leave? That's not cute or funny. It's rude. Yeah so cheaters run rampant in the game. Big -blam!-ing deal. You don't see me harassing devs 24/7 about it. I left and even if I decided to stay, you wouldn't see me pulling that crap.

I mean I have personally reported an entire clan of win traders and recovs using Bungie'a actual report form on this website three times. They're still playng months later. Someone dropped the ball. But hey. I got a warning for making a post that had a link to the cheater's history. So that side of the banhammer is working fine apparently.

    • Ghost lobbies are breaking CoC and Bungo won't ban those people because it doesn't hurt anyone. A clan mate went 31 straight wins in row with 0 kills in trials. FML, I should just go ahead and do it. I'm the only one in the clan that hasn't yet.

    • Because the person triggered Dmg. Which is a pathetically sad reason someone in a position like that could take as an appropriate action for something so trivial.

    • do you know how hard it is, tracking and banning someone who has 25+ accounts? its not easy. with this ban however, seemed it was on a Real account..so... Bungie Needs to LOCK Crucible behind a Paywall = to a Expansion Release and to have a separate PVP server for F2P.

      • Oh the irony. You can get banned for virtually anything, unless you're cheating. Now, I'm all for capital punishment, but it's got to be all or nothing. I think ANYONE who so much as bends any CoC rule even slightly should be permabanned, but PLEASE Bungie, let that include the worst type of maggots on the planet.....the friggin' CHEATS.

A few words. Money and Free Advertisement. A certain Baken getting banned was just for publicity to make them "look good"

        • Bungo seems to be rimming their streamers, probably because they are the only free source of advertising for the game and dedicate their sad life’s to playing a single video game all day to make a living, making them prime candidates to manipulate. It’s funny that this dmg guy has this much power, if he was just a common fourm goer or any other person that didn’t help pull in the big bucks (that the game can still muster) then he would of just been laughed off or shadow banned himself. What a loser to go crying to a game developers to bad a set of people for making you upset, what a special snowflake, his life’s gonna take a bad turn once he stops making the crumbs bunghole is sprinkling in his goldfish bowl.

I was wondering how they got banned, then I heard that they “said some things” 🤦‍♂️ I wonder what these people do when someone in the REAL world walks up and -blams- them to their face…banning and cancel culture only works in fake worlds…the real world DGAF.

                • Now I don’t mean to be a dick towards some of the devs but when I heard about what happened when these guys joined dmgs fire team and got permanently banned I thought that the devs were being a little pathetic on that one, now I don’t know the story, maybe these guys said something bad but if dmg won’t share the details and the guy said he just said hi I’m going to believe him bc when I heard it I pictured dmg going to launch an activity and this guy joins in and he calls bungo to ban these guys, maybe they joined more then once but all I can say is that this fireteam joining bug which happened for steam was primarily Bungie’s fault, this bug happened and they didn’t address it for weeks. So when Bungie bans ppl for exploiting a bug that they didn’t fix. Instead of taking some self responsibility and thinking “this is my fault, let’s fix this.” But instead they pull the “it’s harassment” “it’s the community” it’s like if you had a kid and you always left the cookie jar on the top of the fridge and before you went to work you left the jar of cookies on the counter where the kid can get it, and you didn’t tell him not to eat it bc you didn’t realize it was there. So the kid eats it and when you get back instead of realizing “oh I left the cookies on the counter, my mistake” you punish the kid for ever eating cookies again. They could’ve just gave this guy a warning then he definitely would’ve stopped. So now I feel like Bungie just bans ppl for getting on they’re nerves, definitely not a mature thing to do. Since the activision drama I feel like bungies been trying they’re hardest to prove how self righteous they are. For that reason I don’t trust them.

                  • Why would they ban people who's noses are so far up their rear they can smell what they are about to eat? Don't get me wrong, bungie isn't all bad... Sometimes they just slip up or ignore stuff.

                  • Play stupid games win stupid prizes. They literally joined the community managers fireteam repeatedly uninvited, they viewed it as targeted harrassment. Recovs aren't a huge problem tho cheating is. Bungie just went after another 2 providers a few days ago with ubisoft. I play trials and am on pc so I've had enough of the cheaters personally but still doesn't excuse those guys from getting banned.

You shouldnt be surprised. They are afraid of putting pre-made teams against each other and solos versus solos. After Activision left, they were clueless on what to prioritize when it came to the sandbox and any QOL updates needed to balance the game. Bungie I feel make blanket changes last minute just to say they made changes.

                          • That's just dumb. They're sharing the accounts merely to test different weapon rolls in quickplay, not to carry someone through. No harm done whatsoever. Try to think at least a little.

                            • The case could be made for prioritizing malicious rule breaking over more transactional offenses, but that wouldn't explain why actual cheaters have been running rampant, seemingly unconcerned with potentially being banned eventually. As people are saying, Bungie was quick to mete out Justice on the offenders this time because they came after the Devs themselves. On the one hand, it's extremely unfair that they were quick to deal with their own annoyance but the process for the rest of us is so drawn out. On the other hand, the fools went directly on a Bungie stream and showed their ass, figuratively speaking. They should have been prepared for swift and harsh punishment.

                            • You'd think they'd have their privacy settings set for friends/invite only. What do you expect when you leave your settings to open/public. Anyone can join you then because you've allowed it to happen, and you know it will happen when you do a stream. Pretty much everyone has their settings set to invite/friends only to keep randoms from joining up. Common sense. Still don't know why they didn't other than they *wanted* random people to join up so they could do what they have done and made examples out of those people.
