I mean I have personally reported an entire clan of win traders and recovs using Bungie'a actual report form on this website three times.
They're still playng months later. Someone dropped the ball.
But hey. I got a warning for making a post that had a link to the cheater's history. So that side of the banhammer is working fine apparently.

I just got a private message ban for calling someone a cheater. The person is question was one tapping cross map with a hand canon and no scoping sniper through the middle of walls and also running round the map at super speed but hey I hurt their feelings so they carry on cheating and I'm punished for calling them out.

Sounds about right.

Forum moderators aren’t the ones in charge of banning cheaters.

...um. Yeah. That's why I said "that side" of the banhammer. Forums side is working. Game side clearly isn't.

Different set of people, different set of rules, different burdens of proof. It’s not the forum moderators fault you can’t read the CoC. It’s also not the anti-cheats fault that they’re working against a lucrative industry in its own right that keeps making advances in order to get away with their cheating.

Edited by Wes: 7/30/2021 2:43:49 PMYou have missed my entire point. I literally said the forum side was working, i.e., I deserved the warning. I was an obvious case of someone breaking CoC. It's just funny how that side has zero issues when it comes to obvious cases, but when I report a guy with a 92 K/D in Trials for the season with hundreds of matches against only one opponent and even more matches against zero opponents he doesn't get banned. He should have been. But Bungie is not banning win traders at the moment, even if it is blatantly obvious. Win traders are not on their priority list. And the fact that they are leaving cheaters unbanned because some are "cheating worse" loops back around to my original comment: that side of the banhammer needs help. It ain't working well. In short: Forums side: obvious case of breaking CoC gets a warning or ban. Bungie side: obvious case of breaking CoC gets ignored or put on the backburner. Yeah. They're different people. But when it comes to obvious cases of breaking CoC, you'd think the people who belong to the company who wrote them would be able to deal with obvious infringement as well as forum moderators. And by "obvious infringement," I mean the all the necessary proof is available.
Forum moderators aren’t the ones in charge of banning cheaters.
I don't think he cares.

Gotta make the correction anyways. Maybe one day these people might realise...
