And this is a daily reminder that they don’t care.
-
As long as a match can pull from a group of players with any skill level and fireteams exist, there is no way to balance most lobbies. It will almost always result in 1-2 players on each team with close to 30 kills, 1-2 with 15-20, and a couple with less than 10.
-
Blame the streamers who were losing their first mover advantage built reputation and not making enough money due to SBMM.
-
The lobbies are not suposed to be balanced. One team is always set up to more likely win.
-
With Bungie’s system you get punished for playing the objective and trying to win the game. Been noticing recently in Control that all the sweat teams almost deliberately lose the game, but still rack up insane amounts of kills (which seems their primary motivation) so the 50% win algorithm will constantly give them weak opposition to feed their egos.
-
My favorite was when it match a team of six against literally one player. We just sat there emoting with them.
-
My internet runs at about 40mbps which is stable enough for any game, yet in the Crucible I still end up with teleporting and laggy players your bullets don't do damage to
-
A lot of people seem to be completely misunderstanding what you mean by lobby balancing and are instead talking about matchmaking, which is completely separate. The issue Bungie has here is they'll often put all the good players on one team and all the shit players on the other team, making for an awful match.
-
That is what you get with CBMM. With SBMM matches are balanced. With CBMM you get stomped by teleporting shotgunners.
-
I mean. If you want sbmm just play comp.
-
My fav part of the game is how bungie uses ammo drops to sway matches. First gambit match I have so much heavy I can’t even use it. Second match, bungie predetermine my teams loss. Not one brick of heavy or special the entire match. Not that I care, but still really stupid
-
Man if only there was some kind of system that tried to ensure all the players in the lobby had similar skill levels so no matter who was on which team it would be close game.
-
COD is just as bad. Although I haven’t played in years since they went to poop.
-
the worst
This game has the absolute worst PvP matchmaking I've ever experienced.

Edited by oOUTSIDERo62: 9/23/2020 8:07:18 PMTeam A --------------- Team B good player --------------- good player average player -------------- average player good player --------------- bad player bad player -------------------- good player average player ------------------ average player average player -------------------- average player This is what you want. BUT....... Team A ------------------------- Tean B pro player ---------------------- Good player good palyer ------------------ Good player bad player --------------------- Good player bad player ----------------- Good player bad player ----------------------- Good player average player ----------------------- Good player THIS is what you get. The problem is that Bungies matchmaking sees these two examples as the same team balancing.

The replies to this thread show how covid spread so easily.

Could it be that so many have dropped out of playing PvP that they don't have the luxury of sensible matchmaking and just throw together whoever is available?
-
We need a ranked system, gold, platina diamond ranks... so that when you actually climb you get teammates with similar skill... All this pubstomp made me quit pvp and mostly now I have nothing to do in Destiny 2 because of it. :(
-
Gambit is totally rigged
-
I just get laggy matches, and I know for a fact its not my connection
-
Been playing MCC a lot lately and it’s just as bad. 😔
-
they don't have one. it's pure CBMM, they want you to whine for some SBMM rather than balancing it with some SBMM after they've chosen the 12 or so players because they already have that formula in place from before...
-
Pvp ranking system should have 4 systems in place. Everyone plays. They gain points per play regardless of win or lose. After say 5000 points and accomplishing certain things (kill 3 enemies with one super, kill a hundred people with headshots ect). They go to gold tier. Everyone in gold tier face only people in gold tier. They don't ever match with people in the point system or above their tier. If gold tier players can hold a consistent KDA of 1.5 with a 60% win ratio over 15 to 20 matches. They go up to diamond. Diamond players hold a consistent KDA of 2.0 and a 65% win ratio They go to platinum and they stay there forever. They never go down in rank. If you make it here. Give them a special emblem. Cause these players are going to have some hard players to face regularly. These are the try hard players of destiny. For Trials matches. You only face people in your tier and players can't join your team that are in higher tiers. If you go flawless as a gold tier player. You get a gold version of that special weapon. If you are platinum and go flawless, you get a platinum version of that weapon that has some special glow to it. Maybe the platinum armor set is changed or has a special pve stat added to it. Doing this, I think people will have more fun matches. They'll still earn the rewards everyone else does. They just won't look as badass. Not sure the game has enough players on it now that it matters at this point. But it would be nice if bungie done something to benefit all players and everyone has a chance as good matches. Not one sided ass whooping's.

I will opt for getting pub stomped every now and then with a smooth connection over the game assembling a random squad from damn near every continent because "similar skill level"
-
thx so much for reminding ppl something they couldn't already figure out themselves.

Have you played Apex legends?
