Destiny 1 stuck in Trial mode despite owning every DLC

Hey, so I've been playing D1 on Xbox One since the Beta and recently I've been having issues with my game. For some reason my Xbox One X doesn't recognize my D1 disc, giving me a "Do you own this game?" error every time I've tried to load in & not detecting the disc when it's inside the console; however, other discs do work on this xbox, and this D1 disc does work in other consoles (I own an older generation Xbox One, and it does work in that), so I've tried many things to fix it. One thing I tried was to uninstall & reinstall the game, but since doing that, it now does load without "detecting" the disc and I can get to orbit, however it's stuck in "Trial Mode", not allowing me to do anything because my character's Level 40 ~385 power, and is asking me to put in a "Destiny: The Collection" code in to do anything, despite the fact that I already own & have installed both Year 1 Expansions, The Taken King, Rise of Iron, as well as several other minor add-ons (for some reason not including the Taken King Digital Collector's Edition, which I bought back in 2015 and have all the in-game items for, but haven't been able to equip since the April Update of Taken King because it said I no-longer owned it, but whatever that's an issue from years ago and I've given up hope on fixing that). Is there anything I can do to fix this at all? My fireteam & I were planning on running some D1 raids to practice for the upcoming Day 1 in D2, but for the past several weeks I'd not been able to use D1 because of the aforementioned disc issue, and this just seems to have made things worse. It would be one thing if I could at least re-purchase the base game digitally, but the only options are the Free Trial (which seems to have something to do with this issue to begin with) and Destiny: The Collection, which is entirely redundant as I already own all the constituents digitally beyond the base game & even have them all installed on this console already. I'm completely at a loss & have no idea what to do about this now, can anyone help me fix this mess? It's getting increasingly frustrating to attempt to salvage this & feel like I'm actually going backwards.

  • If the license is not being recognised by the console, you would need to work with xbox support to correct the issue. Bungie does not have any control over the licenses for the platforms.Xbox Support

    • If you think the issue is the disc, then you can try to buy another D1 disc from somewhere and try it. If your disc drive on your console is messed up, you can find someone to repair it. The only other alternative is to purchase it digitally, and the only way to get it digitally is from the console's platform store, and they set the prices for it.

      • I’m having the exact same problem as you. My disc won’t install past 12.40GB. I can install trial mode from store but I refuse to pay £50 for collectors edition when I’ve already paid for all the dlc separately. Bungie needs to address this.
