Are past exotic weapons worth it?
I was looking over the Exotic Kiosk. I have most of the current and common exotic weapons. I have picked up some from the EK before…some seem underwhelming.
I will have an exotic cipher to turn in soon.
I was wondering on a couple of them in the EK.
Are any of the fallowing worth it?
Thorn, Bastion, Polaris Lance

In my opinion Witherhoard for PVE and the Last Word for PVP are must haves. Polaris Lace is useful when the anti barrier seasonal mod is scout rifles.

It is up to you as we are all different with different play styles. What one person finds rubbish is another's gem.

2 RepliesBastion = only kinetic fusion rifle, plus intrinsic Anti- unstoppable.. worth it. Thron- One of the most iconic and still one of the most potent hand cannons in the game for both pve and pvp.. worth it. Polaris Lance- Nuts in the right hands in PvP.. kinda ok. At least that's my opinion of the ones you listed.

If you’re a collector who’s “gotta catch ‘em all”, why not. Bastion and Polaris both you will probably use once to try them out, and then never again.

3 RepliesSo many of them are good, it depends what activities you play most. If you like PvP, Thorn might be a great choice. But it’s not the greatest for PvE. Same goes for many other things in the opposite direction. Figure what you’ll play, then pick accordingly. Heavily biased opinion: Witherhoard might be the single best option if you don’t have it yet.

1 ReplyPolaris Lance is probably the 2nd best exotic scout rifle on m&k next to dmt, but is personally my preferred (I play on console). It's similar to the no time to explain in that they both return ammo on a crit. Good in both pve and pvp, especially gambit. May not be the meta in pvp but can hold its own. Works well with barrier and overload scout artifact mods. Thorn is a great weapon in pvp. Being able to delay health regeneration and the potential 2 tap is good. The recoil can be funky at first but you'll get used to it. Is not bad in pve as the things you pick up on kills refills some of your ammo. Is good when overload handcannon is a artifact mod. Bastion isn't what it used to be in pvp but is still decent. You might have trouble facing a chaperone or a main ingredient but can still shread things up close. It's fine in pve but plenty of other better fusion rifles exist. Note this is the only fusion rifle that can go into your kinetic slot. So I'd go Polaris Lance (just all around good weapon, anti barrier scout is the upcoming artifact mod) Thorn (ace of spades and Eyasluna will satisfy your pvp handcannon needs until you get this). Bastion (good but plenty of options can satisfy you until you buy this gun)

4 RepliesDo the research and then decide. Check what suits you; see how the particular weapons rank compared to others. Check the perks and see if it’s your style. I love Thorn and It matches with my Necrotic Grips. I haven’t bought Bastion (yet) but got Jotunn which is a beast!

Bastion is pretty useful, especially is GMs because of the intrinsic unstoppable rounds, and can take advantage of particle deconstruction this season, thorn is cool, Polaris lance is mediocre imo.

1 ReplyThey're all really great. I like thorn for both PvE and PvP. Polaris is mainly a PvP weapon imo. It's very very easy to 3 tap with. Bastion is good in both. The unstoppable utility is nice and it's a good (and only) kinetic fusion option in pvp. Personally I'd unlock in this order: Thorn>bastion>polaris

Thorn is great, Polaris is niche but the second that scout rifles find a viable place in PVE or PVP it’s great. Infinite ammo, a bomb from landing Crits, and with the catalyst you get firefly. Bastion is an easy mode weapon in pvp, additionally it has built in unstoppable for when you’re fighting champions. All are worth it, I’d say do xurs quest every weekend and get all 3.

Must have’s for you.... Thorn, burden, witherhoard, anarchy and toaster. Don’t let those pass you by....

Hugely depends on how you play and what you spend your time doing. In short though all 3 are worth getting. Really I recommend working on acquiring all of the exotics in the back ground while you work on other things. There might be a "bad" exotic that you end up loving or we could see another situation like sleeper. It was pretty meh over all and now it is crushing bosses this season.

It depends on how you play the game. Monte Carlo is definitely great for melee builds, travelers chosen is amazing for refreshing all your abilities uptime, but it is a sidearm so it’s difficult to use in PvE endgame

Depends on what you want it for. The exotic bows are superb for lost sectors, hand cannons for PVP, Graviton Lance is fun the as are the Trace rifles most of the heavy weapons are good as well.

Polaris is a decent choice I had some fun with it and some moments where it kinda pulled it’s weight Honestly it comes down to you more then anything
