You're taking orb generation away from masterwork weapons and forcing us to use a helmet mod slot?

I honestly can't believe what I'm reading. This is one of the worst ideas you guys have had in a while. Mod slots are so valuable, and you're forcing us to use a helmet slot to get orbs of power on multikills when we've already had that through master working weapons. You don't even solve a problem, you just make master working worse and you're taking a valuable mod slot away. Undo now, please. You'll get so much negative feedback later that you'll have to revert this anyway, so maybe just go ahead and do it now. Stop causing needless issues.

  • The person piloting the Bungie ship is deaf and dumb. A switch to orb generating armor mods (as opposed to masterworking) is the most senseless change to gameplay ever conceived. I love Destiny, but even this fanboy can't find anything good to say about this nerf to masterworked weapons. Can you at least give us a path to un-masterwork a weapon so we get all of our mats investment back? If not, my advice is for Bungie to backpeddle this ill-conceived idea as soon as possible before someone gets hurt.

  • Using any armor mod slot is not going to be good news any way it gets spun! You have a max 10, and no matter how many slots are present, yes I’m talking about Adept, you still have only max 10! They will either spend a slot for free, now you have 1 less slot: or, price the mods so you are unable to generate orbs without losing something valuable. TLDR: Super Nerf, period…

  • Maybe because: 1. It fixes the issue of seperating orb generation from exotic catalysts like we asked. 2. It fixes the issue of too many orbs being generated at the top end of the game, and it causing game stability problems (guitar errors) 3. It encourages build diversity by nerfing Charged with Light builds at the top of the game, while making them easier to use at the bottom. 4. It frees up Masterworking to be attached to a new, and different mechanic that they are hinting about brining to Witch Queen, but haven't revealed yet?

    • Having orb making go to a mod is beyond stupid. Having to slot a mod every time I change weapon type if fu***** asinine. We all ready do that enough with ammo Finders. This is a huge f*** you to the players

      • I think the orb change is a positive if something like I describe below comes with the weapon crafting… You want to create your god roll (insert weapon name here). You have it drop but with 1 of the 9 options that make up a weapon that would make up your god roll. (2x barrels/scopes, 2x mag perks, 2x column 1 2x column 2 and the masterwork perk we have now) You go to where you craft the weapon and you ‘sacrifice’ that weapon to start your god roll and in doing so, you take 1 perk from the sacrificed weapon and it is on your weapon ‘frame’ (kill clip in column 2 for example). That’s were you start ‘crafting’. With each drop of said weapon, you can sacrifice it and take 1 perk from it and add it to you frame until your frame is complete. Then your grind begins for true mastery. You use the basic frame with no perks unlocked (just like D1). Once you have all the perks unlocked, it becomes masterworked. This means the stats bump up just like on Adept weapons right now (plus 2/5 to things like range, stability etc as well as the plus 10 to the masterwork option we have now) Hope this made sense. Ask questions if you want clarity on anything.

          • its a terrible change and its only 25% of the story but look what it did. It got bungie trending. and Streamers streaming videos and gaming outlets are reporting. They make stupid changes like this on purpose it gets the game attention even if its negative its still a spotlight. They could have waited and told the whole story but they didnt because that doesnt generate spotlight.

                • Was about to pre order witch queen . But I think I’ll hold off for it but. It makes no sense giving my money on a game.that really don’t respect there players time and honestly they just fine ways to drain all the fun out of the game

                  • Orb generation is cut and so is your ammo finder you need to sacrifice to make room for orb mods. The stealth double nerf. Right on the heels of making abilities and super take longer to begin with. Triple nerf. Who bets they introduce gear with an additional slot that, after these nerfs require you to grind out whole new sets. So us vets who have been holding onto to our high star armor since before the stat nerf…now have to give up our high stat gear… Yup. They don’t look to add anything to the game. Just take away. “Power creep” the Bungie defenders cry…. They’ve been steadily nerfing stats, abilities and gear since SK. When Bungie took full control. So less space magic (like they tried to get away with with Base D2 but Activison didn’t like the drop in sales and so forced them to fix it with Forsaken) in a franchise about space magic. And I’m supposed to pay for this? Not buying WQ and thinking of giving the game up entirely. At this rate. There won’t be any magic left in the game before the Dark and Light Saga is even over.

                          • Written on the wall - they are going to make us sunset our own armor for new armor that has the extra mod spot like the new dungeon. New armor stat rolls don’t seem to drop as high this season as previous seasons. They are as usual. Nerfing us….
