PvP guys, especially on pc, relax.

Yeah yeah yeah, "maD cOs bAD" "giT GuD" "Ur jUsT BaD" there I said it so you don't have to. Y'all need to relax and step outside for god's sake. Every single game I get into has Igneous Chaperone hunter sweats, crouch spamming melee whoring warlocks, and titans who some how peek perfectly every single fight. I am aware that I'm not very good at PvP and I'm working on improvement. But you mfs need to tone it down a notch because how do you expect people to get better and stop complaining if you're all whipping out the sweatiest possible setups in quickplay? How am I, an average guy who can barely break a 1.0 k/d if almost every single one of you have a 2.5+ k/d and only run meta weapons while mouthbreathing aggressively for 18 hours a day? It's like a 10 year old who wants to get good at basketball but he can't because LeBron James is standing in front of him and going in like it's the damn championships. Look, I know it's a great feeling to be good at a game you really love. And props to you guys who do good and play fair (even you, meta players) because this game is hard to get good at. But for god's sake be aware that sweating is only going to make it worse and worse. Soon enough all the scrubs will quit and the game will be almost unplayable due to sweats and no-lifes being the only players left. I'm not asking to "go easy" or "stop using meta weapons." Just stop treating a quickplay game at 1am like you're 1 win off from a flawless.

  • Got to love when you just want to play PvP and you get matched by Players who go for a 7 K/D on you and rest of your Team for a mercy.

  • Bungie nearly got it right this morning - everyone in my Rumble lobby was almost as bad as everyone else -- missed shots, poor grenades, looking around aimlessly as you lose your enemy whilst tracking. Then they go and spoil it by giving us a 20 kill killing machine. Oh well 🙄

I understand where your coming from but some people just have years of experience in FPS Warfare. There isn't really much else to do other than to body any and everyone in sight. Sucks that some aren't as good but that's the reality in almost every FPS game that exists. Some just live and die for the flames of war. Yeah, casuals may leave but sweats are forever unless they retire. When you've sweated for so long, you can't really train yourself to tone it down or else there is no satisfaction really. All that training just goes to waste and your just unfulfilled mechanically. For some, unfulfilled by their own power fantasy. For me, im not the best but I'm going to go hard everytime or getting off. It's black and white like that...

    • I love the git gud crowd, they put hours upon hours learning to exploit the aim assist/bullet magnetism/cones ect. And most don’t realize it’s the most hand holding pvp experience out on the market.

Why are you using real life excuses over dying in a video game? I speak for myself and every top 1% destiny player, and top 1% player in any game for that matter, including ones that are wayyyy harder than destiny, that this is a flagrant generalization. We all have lives like the rest of you, personally I have a 9-5 summer retail job while also going to the gym regularly and I am about to move out to go back to school. I have a few hours of free time in the evenings, sometimes I'll spend all of it playing, sometimes I won't get on at all. Recently I will play 5 or 10 games at most, get bored and get off. It has no correlation to skill. In fact I would argue that if you have to play for 18 hours a day to stand a chance you are actually extremely bad and untalented and no amount of time playing will make up for that. And expecting people to try less hard... you do know that is not really possible right? A good player can handicap themselves using a weaker loadout but they will still be better than you and you will still get mad. I got bored in rumble one day and put on a suros regime and an ikelos smg and still got called a tryhard for crouch strafing and slide peeking everything. Good players have unbreakable gameplay habits and deeply engrained skills that bad players will complain about no matter what the good player is using. At the end of the day good players will be good. This is destiny so it's not like being good is impressive or anything, the game is very unserious, but when you stay stuff like this it makes it seem like you care way more about the game than the top 1% players who you think are playing with guns to their heads and literally physically sweating when the likely reality is that they are relaxed in a call with friends listening to music casually playing a video game without a care in the world. Ironically you are closer to sweating than them.

But.....how am I supposed to find a job or attract a mate if my kd is below 4.0? My KD is all I have to live for. What do you mean step outside? Like Outside the basement for more snacks or like outside outside with the stacis and chads?

            • They’re probably just playing casually. One you start playing efficiently, you can’t just turn that off. You can’t just go back on hours and hours of muscle memory. When I do play and I consume a grenade, Icarus dash above some to snap their neck, use celestial fire, or whatever it may be, I’m not thinking about doing that, it just happens. I always play my life, stick with teammates, and pick my fights, all without thought. I get hatemail so much for just playing how I normally do it’s bananas. I got hatemail just for backpedaling a shotgunner every time he ran toward me. I killed him the same exact way every time. He ran toward me, I Icarus dashed backward, and I killed him. I was the one at fault even though he failed to adapt. Every time you die, think about what can be done to prevent it. You can also record yourself and go back and watch to find all of your mistakes if you want The only one that can improve you is you. Reach the bar rather than having it lowered.

            • All of your points are moot based on the assumption that external factors are some how halting your personal progress. The truth is, no one but yourself has the ability to stop your improvement. You’re not stuck at a 1.0 KD because some people try in quick play. Your failures are cushioned by excuses. If you want to know how to ACTUALLY become better, read this. I have nothing else to say. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/258573528?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1

                • Totally agree but this is also the case for PvE players. See the past few weeks of mindless shouting about the Anarchy nerf for evidence.

                • Thats not the players fault, its the devs fault. First of all, you are most likely above average, which results in the experience you have rn. Bungies matchmaking (totally not SBMM btw) matches you with and against equally skilled players. (Atleast it tries really hard to do so). When you match potatoes, its most likely because not enough sweatlords are searching at that moment. Bungies team balancing is basically SBMM, just with the chance of having a couple of newbies thrown in here and there. Thats the first reason. The second one is that the games pvp hasn't seen any love and updates in the last 3 years. Its even worse. They deleted half the maps even. So they made the whole exprerience worse than it was 3 years ago instead of improving it. That made people hate pvp even more and lead to extremely low player numbers for pvp, resulting in mostly dedicated sweatlords still playing pvp. Sad but true, nothing you can do about it. Bungie just needs to give the crucible love or it will get even worse day by day. (If thats even possible)

                • Time for bungie to add more pvp modes Especially a halo/splitgate style pvp (hurry up bungie) And a BTB with vehicles. Chop chop bungie. There should be no reason splitgate has more players than you guys. A team of 20 ppl…

                  • I mean, people use QP to warm up for other game modes. It really can’t be helped that there are better players than yourself. Stop taking PvP so seriously. Bungie obviously don’t so why should you?

                      • Bungie have changed their mentality, they'd rather have 5% of the former population, as long as they're all elitist asshats that feel special in a very easy to play game, they wantt streamers, streamer wanabees, and elitists, as long as they're buying toasters, jackets, wooly hats, soundtracks, emblems, headbands, gloves, socks, underwear, and like everything DMG virtue signals on twitter. They're creating a safe space bubble for themselves and their little back patting community, applauding each other at every turn.

Gotta be honest, I don’t really see the problem with trying in a game, even if it’s qp. I don’t care for winning cause there’s no reason to, but I enjoy trying my best, meta or not meta.
