I sympathize with casual players' complaints pretty much all the time but blaming the game being hard for them on the fact that people are better is just not where the blame needs to be put. It is the nature of a PvP game that people will be better than others, expecting the better players to go out of their way to stoop to the worse players levels and looking down on them for not doing so is just... wow. I agree with the sentiment but stick to blaming the matchmaking because this is completely out of touch. It's easy for me to say because Im in the top 1% in destiny so the way you see it Im just the bully telling people to stop complaining about the bullies. But I 10000% know what it is like to be a casual from my experience in other games with much harsher learning curves and high skill ceilings than destiny will ever dream to have, and boy is it ever frustrating. Being so overwhelmed with things you are doing wrong that you don't even know where to start. It sucks, don't get me wrong. But A. getting stomped doesn't discourage me from playing, all it does it make me want to play more and get better as long as I don't get burnt out from forcing myself and B. I have never been mad because someone is better than me. It has never crossed my mind to call someone a no life or a try hard or to expect them to "go easy on me". Those people worked hard for their skill and earned it, and if I'm their victim then it leaves me with no choice but to get better until I can beat them. it is annoying when I play against people who are better, like playing against smurfs with 10x my playtime who I just don't deserve to play against, but even then it is always a reality check and a source of inspiration. If anything I complain that smurfs are allowed to exist but I would never put the blame on the player for being good.

I’m not asking for players to go easy. I’m wondering why some players treat matches like a tournament. Sure do your best or play how you want. But is it really worth it? I make a comparison between PvP and a playground with a bully for a reason. Because there is always an asshat making things hard for others. It is up to the weak to rise up. Not the best comparison but you get the jest.

Your entire point is subjective and not based into any logical truth. You contradict your self saying “Sure do your best and play how you want.” But also say; “there is always asshats making things hard for others.” Well, different people have different strengths and weaknesses. Someone sniping could be making the game a lot harder than a better player shotgunning. It depends on the players and is completely subjective. You’re playing a game with the objective to win. People are going to try to win even if it’s quick play. Good players don’t go into quick play thinking “I can’t wait to ruin someone’s day and be way better than them and make them feel horrible.” Good players just play the game the way they normally would. If anything, casual players using guns like bastion or grenade launchers are the ones who you would call “bullies” because these people are using these guns specifically to ruin people’s fun. But again, that’s just perspective and is also subjective. The truth is you want people to play to your level making it easier for you. If that’s the case you should be an advocate for skill based match making so you could play people your skill level. Instead of 2.0+ KD players.

My guy, you are literally asking ppl to go easy on you. I ain’t good at PVP at all (at least, I wouldn’t say so?) and you need a reality check that players are gonna play a game to win because it’s the objective, lmao. Go play Slime Rancher, that seems to be more tailored for your experience. 💀😂
