Stasis is Ruining Trials
It’s not nerfed enough. It’s very hard to compete with anything else against similarly-skilled teams. You’re still handicapped trying to use anything else. The amount of Revenants and Behemoths compared to Light subclasses is still overwhelming. Shadebinder is 50/50 with Chaos Reach. All three Stasis supers are broken.
Please Bungie, this is the single worst individual creative decision ever made for Crucible. It’s been sucking the life out of the game since it was introduced. Please just disable it indefinitely and don’t re-implement it until it’s received massive changes that have been extensively playtested both internally and by the community via Crucible Labs.
This shit makes it so hard for me to get excited about the new Darkness subclasses coming in the future. We as players should be looking forward to new subclasses, not dreading it.

49 RepliesI've heard stasis guns are also coming. Imagine 6 guys shooting you to slow or to freeze you. Or 3 guys in trials. Slowing or freezing you with bullets. ALL THE TIME! It's not here yet. But imagine that in PvP. Lmao! You think stasis subclasses are bad. Wait for when the stasis guns arrive. Happy days in PvP! Lmao.

Yeah I'm with the others, Trials ruined Trials. That being said, Stasis hasn't helped at all and has in fact somehow made things even worse.

Luke came right out and said he planned to sunset a bunch of the light based trees, I would bet that he had planned to sunset the works in the long term.

Instead the problem lies with the fact that the light subclasses do not offer what stasis offers and im not talking just abilities people sre using stasis to min max their builds because some of the fragments offer stat bonuses so alot of people are running stasis because of those stat increases. So bungie need to bring the other subclasses in line with stasis to also offer these bonuses and more people will go back to play the light subclasses and it will balance out the playing field. And trust me i feel your pain when i enter match after match in comp aginst 3 stacks of stasis hunters and i look to bungie and say its obviously broken otherwise why would everybody and their brother playing the spec. There are so many rev hunters in game right now ud think the game is called hunter. And thats because its a ease of use thing that need to be fixed

It’s annoying, but I haven’t run stasis since they nerfed it and I’ve done pretty well in trials. At least on hunter and warlock there are options. For titan id say behemoth is still the best

Stasis can already be frustrating in a non-competitive PvP ecosystem, I can only imagine the impact it can have on a Mode like Trials. Being frozen and get killed with no chance of fighting back in a mode where when you're dead you're done sounds really bad.

to be honest i think the only two stand outs is behemoth super and revenant hunter shurikens the titan super is god tier in a good players hands and hard to shut down and being slowed is a free kill pretty much and hunter melee does it insanely well

Considering none of the light subclasses have anything that compete with the power to control the enemy players movement with things like the snow globe pull grenade, and slow/freeze powers stasis will always be superior to light based classes in crucible. None of the light based classes provide any sort of competing buff/debuff against the stasis powers. Until Bungie renders this, it will always be unbalanced.

8 RepliesIt's interesting reading all these posts blaming stasis when in reality it is Bungie that is the actual problem knowing they don't have any professional PvP players that play the game. They need actual testers that know what they are doing to see how things actually work in the game. It's not brian sugary people... Anyone intelligent enough can see Stasis was a selling point and was a bad move on Bungie's part when it comes to PvP, knowing you can still promote power without it being OP. It was used to sell BL. IMO Bungie doesn't have the slightest idea of what they are doing when it comes to PvP. Maybe if they actually played their own game to see how things work instead of just looking at what sells, things would't be as bad.

No, trials players are ruining trials. Never in my life have i played that many obvious cheaters. But bungie doesnt care. 80% of trials players are obvious cheaters.
