They made stasis so dominant I honestly don’t think they expected anyone to keep playing the light based subclasses. Luke came right out and said he planned to sunset a bunch of the light based trees, I would bet that he had planned to sunset the works in the long term.

I think luke ment making the light subclasses more like how stasis is set up in the menu and giving them aspects and fragments and what not similar to stasis
