I've heard stasis guns are also coming. Imagine 6 guys shooting you to slow or to freeze you. Or 3 guys in trials. Slowing or freezing you with bullets. ALL THE TIME!
It's not here yet. But imagine that in PvP. Lmao! You think stasis subclasses are bad. Wait for when the stasis guns arrive. Happy days in PvP! Lmao.

I'm imagining. But I'm imagining the meta being screwed and it makes me... HAPPY
I'm imagining. But I'm imagining the meta being screwed and it makes me... HAPPY
Meta is always screwed. Game so stale the only way for them to keep it interesting is to rotate meta. Lame.

Because Sunset did help... Pah.

Edited by Sleep_Leveling: 4/21/2021 5:44:08 PM
Because Sunset did help... Pah.
Sunset does nothing but rotate meta. They sunsetted D1 exotics just to bring them back to D2. Still doing that now. Lame.

It’s just a damage type it’s not that deep.
It’s just a damage type it’s not that deep.
Maybe. Shallow if that's just it. Lol.

I don’t think stasis guns are going to work like that. I think it’s just more for elemental shields and such. Maybe the exotics will do stasis stuff but a legendary stasis sidearm shouldn’t have that power

Maybe they'll have it later. We could only speculate as of now. Lol.

I’m just going off the basis of most elemental weapons don’t provide any additional effects based on its intrinsic element. They’re most likely going to Implement stasis shields when they release these guns. What they need to do is implement a weakness system like Pokémon with all these elements because it’s going to be impractical to do content especially solo lost sectors when you need to worry about match game.

It's like a matching test you have during kindergarten exams. Lol. Why add stasis guns if they'll be nothing more that just a kindergarten exam. A Sesame Street game. Lmao.
-
Why have any elemental guns because that’s what they all are at this point lmao just obstacles for match game.

They do nothing than match a code. A Sesame Street game. No purpose but matching game. Lmao. If that's what stasis guns are, it's just adding more jokes to the comedy. Lmao.

Which is why I see pvp being slowly squeezed out of the game. It’s this enormous drag on the pve side of the game and the creativity that could be brought to it.

PvP is pretty much supported by the devs. They even balance nerf and buff based on data gathered from PvP. Separation of PvP and PvE would really benefit this game. But to kill PvP would also kill half the population that's already left in this game. They won't kill PvP. If they do, half the game's population will die. The problem is they can't find a revenue stream if they separate PvP. The PvP crowd pays for the PvE loot and subclasses only to be brought into the PvP aspect of the game. Unless you'll go back to having PvP added as a paid content with it's own loot and guns. But the subclasses is a central theme of this game. It works both for PvE and PvP. That's why you cannot fully separate the two in terms of revenue sources.

1. When was the last time Crucible got anything significant that wasn’t tied to Trials? 2. Crucible is less that 1/3 of the player base, and one day of Gambit gets more engagement than an entire weekend of Trials.
-
Yesterday’s PvE numbers: 670k. Yesterday’s Crucible numbers: 590k. Might wanna check your math.

Edited by kellygreen45: 4/20/2021 12:47:14 AMMight want to check your source. Those numbers are 650k in pve and 430k in Crucible. 1. This is an Iron Banner week so pve numbers go down and pvp numbers go up. 2. Destiny Tralee combines Crucible and Gambit numbers into a single “pvp” number. 3. Pve numbers are lower than normal because of Outriders. At a typical point at this time in a season, pve numbers are still at about 1M a day while Crucible is abou 300-350k. (Carry the one...)

I'll wait if it happens. 1/3 is still a big number. Especially if that number are paying customers on all content. I'm sure they have people crunching these numbers. There's always a consequence. But maybe PvE numbers would also go up. That is just speculation and remains to be seen.

That’s just it. Pvp doesn’t require you to be a paying customer. So it’s questionable if pvp is bringing in revenue that warrants how much of Bungie’s resources have to be spent just managing it....
That’s just it. Pvp doesn’t require you to be a paying customer. So it’s questionable if pvp is bringing in revenue that warrants how much of Bungie’s resources have to be spent just managing it....
Some of the PvP crowd pay. Like I said, subclasses are a big factor for both PvE and PvP aspects of this game. Exotics are also paid content that PvP crowd will pay to get again just to bring them to the PvP sandbox. Unless devs will also separate these paid contents. Which is really a hassle because gamers will now compare the means in how to get them. It's gonna be a difficult one. Unless you just remove PvP completely. Again, we go back to that 1/3 population that you may lose, some maybe paying ones. It's gonna be a tough call.
-
I don’t believe it is. I think Bungie has already made the call and is just buying time. Time until Matter is ready for release, which I believe will be their dedicated pvp game. Because the kind of pvp that Destiny has had is not compatible with a game whose stated identity is an “action MMO”.
-
Matter is probably 4 years away. Anything can happen in 4 years with Destiny. But then, I didn't see anything really big happening in Destiny in the last couple of years. Only time will tell.

OR maybe the stasis guns will pop frozen allies in the crucible and we wouldn’t have to read these posts anymore.
