Disappointed isnt even the right word for what this thing is. A legendary hand cannon out performs this thing. A shadow of its former self.
-
true, every other 140 hand cannon is superior, that final perks means jack if you miss, get killed, reload or put the gun away for a second. Ace is better in every way, Thorn is better in every way and a descent rolled Dire shits on it every day. it's the worst Exotic Hand Cannon ever created by Bungie and the original Hawkmoon even in it's most nerfed state shits on the current one. Only stupid blind fanboys denie that it's trash, heck even 180th are better.

Stack critical shots in PvE that final rd does amazing damage. Better than any legendary weapon, easy. I like this version. You get a buff for being good vs just running around with another OP nerfed into the ground in a week weapon. We don't need those again.
-
The gun is good it makes up for everything by the way it feels and handle and for PVE it does monstrous about of damage "with the perk" on champions once you land your crits
-
It's sad that in pvp you are better off using a 120 with rampage or some other dmg perk to get 2 taps than use hawkmoon. Plus 120s with a dmg perk are much easier to use. If you miss a few head shots here and there it's no big deal, you miss a head shot with hawkmoon especially that last shot you are screwed. Seriously like only 1-5% of the player base will have fun with this gun or even be able to use it effectively in pvp. It's very labor intensive. It's only redeeming quality is that it is pretty good in pve. But then again tons of guns are pretty good in pve. It's not like it out damages heavies or energy weapons.

I like it. It has some of the best stats in the game for a hand cannon and if you can nail all the precision shots, which is fairly easy with that stability and handling, and add divinity or a well or any empowering buff, this thing can outperform sniper rifles at a close enough range. Missing is a pain though
-
I enjoy it personally i enjoy guns that reward skill :D
-
Git gud and you can one-shot a super. I don’t know of a legendary hand cannon that can do that.
-
PvE wise it blows every other hand cannon out of the water except maybe Sunshot due to its ad clear. Stat wise in PvP it by far the best and most consistent feeling hand cannon, It’s also a 140 which is the best archetype. I personally don’t really like it’s exotic perk in PvP as it’s far to punishing if you miss that last shot. It’ll be disgusting strong for those that master the weapon, kill two with 3 headshots each (Not super hard) and one tap the third, it’s not even at its strong point with a catalyst still be be released as well as that other random perk
-
It may not be d1 Hawkmoon but if you can aim and avoid wasting bullet on energy shields it has an insane potential for damage. Has anyone tested it with divinity yet ?
-
Literally has the best stats as a whole
-
Um its probably the best handcannon in the game...
-
Can’t be that bad you have on two of your characters 🤷🏼♂️
-
Your just in denial that you can’t 1 tap with luck in the chamber Besides d2 hawkmoon can put out damage that only d1 hawkmoon could dream of
-
It has insane damage for a primary.
-
Actually it is an exotic

Edited by BRAZACK: 12/9/2020 2:07:28 AMAgreed, they coulda changed the holding aces and LITC perks to only do the bonus damage on crits. So people wouldn't spam body shots. Hell, they could have even made hawkmoon into an exotic version of the not forgotten and that would have been good. Basically 2 crits makes the third shot do bonus damage. NF and Luna are both sunset anyway. I bought this dlc for hawkmoon tbh and im a bit disappointed.
-
You’re not using it right. You’re not stacking the buff up enough before the final shot
-
Lol neither is whisper, but d2 has it anyway. We had a legendary in d1 that outperformed whisper and had infinite ammo as long as you hit crits for entire mag. Safe rule of thumb is any guns they bring back from d1 are going to be shadows of their former self and if they somehow do more probably like whisper where it went from special to heavy. Miss having legendaries feel OP and exotics being must have.

Don't you guys look at other forum posts before posting your own? There's a stupid amount of these posts on the front page of the forum. It'd be so much more effective to just have one post about it where everyone has their say than all these countless copycat posts. As far as the gun goes, yes I had D1 Hawkmoon and I actually really like this version. It makes more sense to know where the powerful bullet will be than for it to be random. It makes more sense to have to earn that powerful bullet. It makes sense to have random rolls on the gun so you can get an even better version. You all just moan about anything and everything at this point.
-
Dont call it the Hawkmoon.. just call it Bawkmoon its a better hawkmoon :D that i get more 1 shots with then hoping for a 3 stack 😌
-
I really like hawkmoon. The random rolls are actually really fitting because it keeps the randomness of hawkmoon intact. The final shot is also pretty satisfying and i hope the catalyst gives it more shots/stacks.
-
You can get 50K + damage with a legendary handcannon?
-
While I agree its a bit meh the perk can indeed one tap. Have only played the one game myself but lucky10p put a vid up and he hit a 400+ crit with it. I think 5-6 stacks is a 1 tap
-
it can one tap a super... with 7 stacks... but still, it can one tap a super
