Set load outs in Crucible is the closest to balanced it’ll ever get
Seriously, if we are going down the route of ruining PvP and PvE gameplay simultaneously let’s just cut to the chase so I don’t have to have my experience ruined in PvE because someone got tilted in crucible.
I’ve seen people so salty they want the entire class of breach loaded grenade launchers removed all thanks to salty crucible tears.
We all know the nerf/buff cycle will never balance the game and only serves to soothe whiney crucible cry babies who can’t stand the concept of a meta. It’s been almost ten years of this garbage balancing and we are no closer to it being fair than launch D1 was. Stop punishing the whole class because one clown won’t shut up and be mature and take their fat L like an adult.

Crucible in Destiny 2 is broken, but you see thats the charm about it. You get better in gameplay and ability in valorant, but in Destiny 2 its full Chaos. You just gatta adapt. Im not saying git gud cuz git gud doesnt exist, only adaptation.

I have to say, if this game wants to be competitive set loadouts is about the closest they could ever get, as Destiny's sandbox is very fat and has always proven too difficult to balance. That being said, I don't think this game needs to be competitive, it just wouldn't be Destiny with restricted loadouts.

8 RepliesThis game can never be balanced, unless you remove all abilities as well as fixed loadouts for all players. But then what's the point in having space magic. Anyone crying about balance should just play a different game. There are tons of other PvP games...

Okay so I just had a thought. Titanfall 2 is to D2 PvE as Apex Legends is to D2 PvP. See where I'm going with this? TL;DR: Separate the sandboxes already, jeez.

Another day, another -blam!--made PvE player complaining about PvP players ruining the game because they want PvP to be somewhere within the stratosphere of being even remotely balanced... And repeating false narratives about PvP nerfs hurting PvE, which hasn’t happened in years. Some people really have too much time on their hands during the lockdown.

Destiny pvp is an example of why most RPG’s either avoid pvp or don’t make a new game and scrap balancing progress made in first game. You don’t see the like of eso or wow making new games when the first one didn’t work out quite the way you thought it would, but here we are destiny 2 and balance is honestly in a worse place than I felt like it was on 1. Sandbox split would do so much for making everyone happy because the balance would be more consistent and it would leave less room for major screw ups. 90% of people seem to elect to try to play the meta or at least not far from it which means a cookie cutter pre-made gun would do perfect if they just toss the god roll on the pvp version pre-set gun then boom balance can be made as desired.

2 RepliesDestiny pvp will always need adjusting but currently it’s in a very good place. Most weapons types can be competitive which is a good thing. I think with sun setting coming in we won’t run into massive weapon nerfs like we’ve had in the past, unless it’s something completely broke like Prometheus Lens. So I guess pve only players should be happy about that. In terms of the supers I really like the look of new stasis classes but honestly they sound like a nightmare for pvp. I hope it’s not completely broken in pvp and needs adjusting and nerfing which ruins its pve effectiveness. Bungie knows that and I think they have been doing that okay recently? 🤷🏻♂️ . I think supers are starting to have lanes anyways, most the top pvp supers you wouldn’t use it pve anyways, and vice versa. Ps just want to point out how ironic it is to highlight crying pvpers, when your post reads the same way 😂

2 RepliesI said for years they could have an area of crucible where you could equip nothing but Blue gear. Call it Blue light special. It would give the blue gear a reason to exist and be an area of the game where play might matter more than perks. Needless to say that will NEVER happen. Can you imagine ranked play and nothing but blue gear no legendary or exotics.

Or if Bungie just [i]actually listened[/i] instead of waiting 9 months to slaughter an entire archetype because of the frustrations caused by 2 guns. This is probably the worst aspect of Bungie, just how damn slow they are at fixing the damn game. Here we are, [i]almost 2 years later[/i] and Mountaintop is just now getting nerfed.
