game stuttering even with high FPS

Hi guys! I've been playing destiny 2 on my PC ever since I switched from PS4 back in May and I've never encountered any problem then. it was super smooth and perfect. but since last week, I've been getting this annoying stuttering and I can't figure out on how to fix it. I've searched all over the web and I did a LOT of troubleshooting but case is still the same. My drivers are updated (also tried an older version), reinstalled the game, and tweaking video and gpu settings but to no avail. I'm really getting frustrated. I need heeeellp!! my PC setup: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x EVGA geforce RTX 2070 super 32gb ram windows 10 pro 64bit I've also run different games and they're perfect even with the highest settings. I believe I'm only getting this stutter on destiny 2. is this a problem on the game? or there's something wrong with my hardware/software?

My game is smooth. However. Weird, but it only stutters when I jump! When you change direction while jumping it stutters and character stops in midair ~ bye-bye! Like if I try to move in air really aggressive it may stutter even more. Stutters less often if jumping only forward.

  • Its a big issue, i literally cant play the game like this. All my drivers are up to date. I dont think the drivers are the issue, the new nvidia driver update came out before the latest destiny update. It wa after the update that the fps stutter became excessive.

    • I thought it was just me.... I have the hotfix version 451.85. I play at 60FPS with VSYNC engaged. even though it is at 60 and in-game counter stays at 60, it feels stuttery.

      • I have the same issue sometimes after an update or server reset. I log back into the game and I experience a lot of stuttering. I am using a 1080 and have the latest drivers, but this was happening prior to the newest driver release, always after server reset. I've messed around with video settings to see if there's something in particular that is causing it, but no matter what I toggle or modify, it still keeps happening. Issue always resolves itself somehow but it's gotten to a point where I have run out of things to try.

        • just to add up, I've been playing on Windowed Fullscreen since my switch to PC and it was perfect before. When the stuttering occurred, I switched to Fullscreen coz I assumed it'll stopped. It was fine for a day or two but then it also started stuttering. I got no options to solve this. please help. =(

          • There are more and more reports coming in suggesting that the latest Nvidia drivers are not well optimized for Destiny 2 and cause problems like noticeable FPS drops
