Have to disagree. I have a respectable grimoire, and two 32s, yet very little vog experience. Ill health meant I missed the period when everyone was discovering it, I had to stick to patrol and other stuff I could do in short periods with no talking. Now no one will accept someone inexperienced. Grimoire is an indicator but shouldn't lead to assumptions.

 • Sorry, bro, but you can't make that argument with that Grimoire. You have to have done at least something right to get that Grimoire, and yes, there are a few exceptions. However, rule of thumbs, under 2300 = No Bueno

 • My grimore sucks and I have three characters above level 31. I've had this game since a week after release and have done VoG many times, I just don't want to collect ghosts

 • if youre excluding under 2300 from raids then you legitimately must suck. VoG is easy with a competent team, and to NEED people with high grimore is just sad. fairly sure most of my 4 raids had at least half including me with under 2300 grimore and it was a cakewalk for us.

 • Guys, again, I'm not EXCLUDING people with a high grimoire, my core team has very good people with low grimoire. But more often than not, the people with the lowest Grimoire are the ones letting the team down. If you don't understand this, then just don't say anything

 •
However, rule of thumbs, under 2300 = No Bueno
which means you will not play with people under. people with under 2300 are the ones who actually need experienced players to raid with,if not they will never really gain much experience and forever be behind the curve of skill to pass these raids as they are released(debatable as bungie is slow with content releases). and if you want only comments where your opinion is agreed with, then id suggest getting off internet forums as it generally doesn't happen.

 • I never said I don't play with them, if you could read, you would notice I said my core team has those people. I don't mind helping, I generally carry friends through the raids. But if I need a raid, and my team isn't on, I'm gonna pick a high Grimoire over a low one for the simple fact of game experience. And I didn't say don't reply if you don't agree with me, I said don't reply if you don't understand what I'm trying to explain, which clearly you don't. If you have a Grimoire lower than 2300, you're still learning the game in most cases. And don't just say "I just don't want to go get ghosts" because they don't actually amount to any spectacular quantity. And if you go back to my first post, I was just saying that Grimoire is a better indication of skill than level is, thanks to this beautiful level system of Bungie, but somewhere along the conversation, someone got hurt for having low Grimoire and changed the real subject

 • if I where to go get ghosts,id most likely be around 2300. also,im not really hurt about having low grimore,i don't play for it. if I wanted I could go hunt hive ogres, wizards etc for a day and boost my grimore by a hundred without ghosts. but why would I? ive done everything in the game excluding the end of CE on hard and have done it all fairly easily with a low grimore,so why would I be hurt over it? nobodys ever said"ew Christmas noob, kick him" maybe its due to me being on ps where individuals only care about skill and not grimore. maybe its just ive been lucky with whom I get paired with. and if you've got to carry someone with an above 2000 grim through a raid theyre doing something wrong in the skill department. 2000 and above is where you have to spend time doing things over and over and gain exotics(or get ghosts) to gain more grim. 2000 is about full game completion with a bit extra for a few exotics. grim is a good indicator up to a point, the rest is just a grind for score.

 • Exotics don't give you score, only a readable card. And it's kinda cool how it's the PSN people who always start the console fight. Did I mention anything about it? Nope, but you had to, and had to go through all the trouble of inspecting my account too. And I didn't say who I carry through either, nor did I say you were the one that was hurt. But hey, if you wanna take it as an insult to you, then by all means, go right ahead. I'm sure you're grimoire is "high" enough. Anything you say won't change the fact that Grimoire is a better skill indication than level is. Anarchy out \/

 • all the trouble right click. open new tab and it seems every time I get an exotic my grim has gone up,maybe that's just me seeing things wrong. and assuming we are the two people talking, and you went to all the trouble of typing out to mention it,it seems you meant me. also, ive seen plenty of xbox people start it,street goes both ways. anywhom since your gone, goodluck. and may rng be in your favor.

 • A low grimoire can be a means to determine experience, but not a high one. I've done vog four times total- and all in the last fortnight. Ask me two weeks ago, I'd've had a high grimoire but never set foot in the raid. I've played the game a hell if a lot but no vog experience. So you'd be better off with that 2300 grimoire level 31 with 20 vog clears than me with 2650 or whatever with no clears. And I'm not a 'bro'.

 • Ok, sis, don't have to get your panties in a bunch over a conversation. And just because you don't have experience on the raids, doesn't mean that you can't hold your own if someone told you what to do, because based on the grimoire, you can tell how much experience people have in the game. Yes, you can search up Ghosts blah blah blah, but most of the Grimoire comes from kills and time in game. Practice makes perfect. Like I said, there are exceptions to every rule, but if I had to pick between two randoms, you can bet I'm going with the higher GS
