Both my characters are 31's and don't really know how to use the relic, BUT I want to! It's hard because everyone just wants to get the raid done, there's no time to practice with the relic. Whenever I pick it up I seem to fly all over the place with it, then get killed trying to kill stuff.
Is there a good way to learn fast? I'd love to be a relic holder! :(

What someone said about finding a Templar checkpoint and soloing it is good advice. Beyond that, I'd say find a group of decent people who don't mind letting you practice at the Gatekeeper/Atheon for awhile. My clan and I have done it numerous times for other people.

Go to normal mode. Go watch the youtube video of the guy soloing the Templar on hard mode. Go grab the Templar checkpoint and go in on normal mode by yourself and play it till you beat it solo. You will be a awesome relic holder if you can do that on normal.

Get a checkpoint at the gatekeeper and you can practice all you want.

Same with the sword on CE
