The new XBOX console: With all that circulates around the exact specs of the new XBOX. What will you inevitably end up doing if you are required to have an internet connection "all the time" and be logged in "all the time"? No offline mode? And what say you if used games are no longer allowed to be played on this next gen console? I'm curious because I know a few of us have put quite a bit of time, money, and effort into avatar items, themes, and achievement hunting...

  • Hell no. My reception to Spartan Ops requiring connection to the Internet was negative, it'll be the same with a new console...

    • I don't really care about always being connected because I never play offline. Though if the rumors about the system's specs are true then I will be very dissapointed. I might switch over to PSN.

    • It's difficult for me. I've been gaming on xbox since the days of Halo CE... But I feel like I personally would be betrayed and let down if Microsoft decided to do something so foolish as to require registration codes for games. I mean sure...I buy new games a lot. I pre-order lmited editions a lot, but I buy equally if not more used games just for the heck of it. There are some franchises out there I would have never experienced if it weren't for the fact that I bought the game for $8. I just hope that developers keep the lowly gamer in mind and not just their profit margins.

    • I'll pick up the new xbox, because I enjoy the online community, and the cross game chat with friends, and all the other XBL features. No used games doesn't matter to me - I don't buy used. And with the push to digital, game discounts can become more frequent (as we see with Steam and XBL sales). An integrated Kinnect is a nice addition. Great for navigating when a controller is not nearby - charging or whatnot, and great for in game commands such as in Mass Effect 3. There are also a few fun kinnect games. I also have no problem with "always online" games, because I'm an avid MMO player - and that's the case for every one of those. Let us also not forget that the new xbox will more than likely be backwards compatible, while the PS4 is confirmed to not be.

    • I won't be buying anything new until my xbox 360 breaks. When it does die, then I'll consider buying the nextbox or a ps4.
