My reception to Spartan Ops requiring connection to the Internet was negative, it'll be the same with a new console...

I totally agree. Any single player game that requires internet I am against it. I will not buy a console that requires 24/7 internet connection to play single player games and stuff of that nature.

thats not the point. Single player games that require internet connection means whenever said server is shut down in a few years you can never play that single player game or mode again. That is an awful way to have games tethered to the internet to work.
