You do realize Sony has absolutely no experience or reputation with live service games right? You do know that they had to delay 12 live service games right?
Why would you want destiny in that team’s hands? Y’all gotta stop thinking with emotion when you make these statements about Sony taking over.
Logic would say that Sony would have no idea how to handle the game. You don’t get a better gaming experience from a team of inexperienced people in this genre of game running the show
It’s fine not to like something, but please come up with an actual constructive solution

Its gonna be given to a studio lmao And if you wanna be dumb like that the last Live Service game Sony had launched was Helldivers 2 not sure if you heard. And considering the last like 10 games they launched were all 10/10 hits i think D2 would be fine

Would rather see what Sony does with it at this point, Bungie just seems to be completely out of touch with the community these days. They always seem to either try too hard, or too little. And if Sony happens to mess it up as well? Well the game seems to be a sinking ship anyway. Just means it wasn't meant to be.

Just want this game to die. So I'd be free...

They really just need some people in management who care more about the projects they lead than bonus checks. Greed ruins everything. Always has. Always will.

Preface: I am not rooting for aa takeover, but there's absolutely merits to doing so. 1. The amount and quality of studios under the Sony banner don't worry about managing Destiny. I'd be more concerned about what a studio would have to stop making to do so. 2. We DO know what Bungie's management is, and we're not fans. 3. Logic would tell you Sony wouldn't be the ones handling the game. They'd simply assign it to a different studio. You can argue whatever studio is less equipped, prepared, expereinced, etc. Cool, great, awesome, not arguing efficacy, but Sony wouldn't be the ones handling it. 4. You don't get a better gaming experience by letting the same team that continually disappoints people to continue disappointing people. Again, I'm not asking for a Sony takeover, but I can asbolutely see the merits of the arguments from those who are in favor of it.

Edited by jmann43b: 3/26/2024 11:36:30 PMYou don't understand, Sony will take over and fix everything those players perceive as wrong with this game with a single patch, just you wait and see!
You don’t get a better gaming experience from a team of inexperienced people in this genre of game running the show
I beg to differ. Bungo once was an inexperienced live service developer and they made D1. If they could make that happen and work back then, what's to say someone with the resources and technological improvements that's available to Sony couldn't do the same thing, or better today? I'm not saying that they would or will, but you definitely can't say they couldn't. As an aside, I don't think Sony could improve Destiny. I think it's days are done. But to outright say they couldn't is false.

Long way from that, 2025 26 Sony hasn't fully paid for their purchase yet.

Anything is better than bung at this point.

At this point it’s a pretty safe assumption to say that any team would do a better job with the Destiny franchise going forward. Even Sony. Look where Destiny is at now? So much potential that was compromised for greed.

Everquest, you plebian.

Can't wait for Sony to drop the hammer. Long overdue.

Sony may not have much experience making live service games, but they do make banger titles. I have more faith in them than I do in the higher ups at bungie who seem only out to make a quick buck

The franchise needs fresh eyes because no matter what good bungie has done in the past for D1 and D2, they've clearly lost the plot in the present. It's not ALL bad obviously, but most of bungies ideas aren't all that anymore.
