Delay Lightfall and Address What Has Been Lost
This is all you need to do.
It is not rocket science.
Delay Lightfall.
Address the core systems in the game.
Bring back all the content that has been vaulted as Seasonal Adventures.
Combine Nightfalls and Heroic Strikes with Optional Matchmaking.
I advocated for SBMM only because I felt you would probably dig back into the PVP vault for all our removed maps.
I was wrong and I apologize to the community.
However, lobby balancing and core system changes need to be a high priority.
There are too many problems to name but since this post is advocating for change to the core systems versus new content, Ill let the community add their measure and views they want or need to keep them ENGAGED into the game.
FUN, FUN,STORY,FUN,FUN.
We need this more than anything as content versus the lame seasonal model you have.
Bring back Menagerie with a spin that incorporates all the best 3-6 man activities.
Remove the AE, Slide And Reload nerf changes
Do not PUT RUMBLE in a rotation with other modes.
It is silly to even consider this.
Bring back all the subclass components that were removed or changed.
Put Gambit into the planets.
Make the Vendors grant missions and side quests for gear.
Customize a singular sparrow, ships and ghost designed primarily around Amanda Holiday.
Eververse should be used as a means to gain access to previous content that has been rotated out for new content within the current seasons ie cosmetics, ornaments and emotes. This is already a thing somewhat but is used poorly with live events.
Live events content should be grind through core systems that are updated and upgraded for the game progression for the future seasons.
This game is going to really DIE if you do not put the community first before your own decisions for changes that you feel benefit the community when it truthfully benefits you.
LOYALTY is an understatement when describing this community.
Last Issue: REMOVE POWER LEVELING AND INCREASE DIFFICULTY WITH OPTIONAL MATCHMAKING AND IN GAME LFG.

1 ReplyTo start you and I haven't seen eye to eye much as of late. But with that said I agree fully with this post. Bungie is only after quantity instead of quality. The fun in the game was replaced with pointless grind, paid events, an pvp that is just struggling to keep alive.

1 ReplyI get what you’re saying and your ideas would indeed make the game better for all players BUT they’re not going to happen. It’s all about the moolah! Bungie wont delay the moolah that a new expansion will bring to provide the QoL fixes that the game needs and that you’ve mentioned. We can hope. Ya hope. That some of those fixes will be incorporated within the the expansion but it’s anybody’s guess if that’s the case or not. Regardless, it is what it is. I’m not expecting much change but I’ve been wrong before.

If we keep throwing it at them, nothing will change (i am part of the problem since i always buy DLC aswell). We need quality content. Not this monotonous hamster wheel trash seasonal "content" they've been drip feeding us for way too long now. I want Activision back. Like actually. D1 and D2 year 1 and 2 had Activision. Besides year 1 of D2, those were literally the best times we had in Destiny by miles. Everything after was hot trash. Bungie is incapable of delivering quality content so they just throw filler trash at us. Imagine watching Naruto but all the actual episodes were cut and you are only able to watch the filler episodes from now on. That's literally D2 now.

even if they delay it I dont think they have enough time to do somethig good, either delay would be for like half a year or they just wont delay lightfall and maybe theres a chance they will update something in the future. they've alreday anounced pvp chages, I wont say all of them are great, but ranked can just carry crucible single handedly. My suggestion for gambit is to make same ranked playlist and return gambit prime roles, and when you start queing you will choose a role you want to play, and you will be matched with 3 other different roles, and only invader is able to invade.

2 RepliesTo be honest, it worries me that Lightfall is the first expansion since Forsaken not to be delayed. That tells me one of two things. One, it's going to be a very shallow, lackluster expansion. Or two, Bungie feels that if they delay it, it would take so long to improve it that it wouldn't be worth the effort.

1 ReplyIMO menagerie also would’ve been kinda lame if it weren’t for the chest glitch. I do agree that seasonal story needs to be way more engaging though. This season just felt super lack luster and doesn’t really feel like it connects to the bigger picture even though it does.

1 ReplyLiterally the only thing that can actually change the game at this point is for an entirely new set of directors to take over. And even then there’s no guarantee they’d do anything different. Destiny is a money machine, streamlined and set on autopilot to deliver content with the lowest effort and highest ROI. They dialed in the development cost and this is what came out. Enjoy.
