Random 2 Month Bans

Hello, I have been playing with my friends on Destiny 2 and we enjoy playing gambit together. For some reason I keep getting these two-month bans with no clarity as to why I am receiving the ban. My NAT is open and I play on Xbox with my friends. My family using Verizon as our ISP and we have Verizon Wifi-Extenders throughout the house. My friends have the same ISP and have no issues. No one from Bungie support can provide me with a clear answer so I can avoid these bans and play with my friends. Has anyone else come across this issue and found a fix?

The cause is due to having consistently unstable internet. First it’s a warning, then a 2 week ban, multiple 2 month bans followed by a perma ban. The solution is to have a correctly configured router, simply connecting a lan cable or having 100% wifi isn’t enough.

    • 1. They aren’t random. 2. They are given because Bungie reviews reports of your connection being a problem & found it to be severe enough over a long enough period to warrant restricting you. 3. Playing on wifi (even when using extenders) may not be a stable enough connection. As an alternative, you should look into getting a wired connection or using powerline adapters.
