I was thinking when I saw those moths the first time that came out from HIVE, are those evolved worms? Because they seem so...

Carrying the Spirit of the Radio - old

Hive exposure to light causes tumors to grow on their skin which contain the moth. It is a “biological” response to light exposure. I’m pretty sure the one Lucent Tales lore book explains it better.
