Concerning the GCX '23 Cruise...

I know this is well over a year off, but I thought it might be helpful to bring this up while plans are still in the works. I was hoping that I might reach out to Bungie regarding their participation and/or endorsement of this event. First, I feel I'm not alone in speculating that COVID will still be quite relevant when this event rolls around, especially in Florida. Cruises often act as floating petri dishes for the spread of disease, and Omicron has shown us how contagious it can be even among the fully-vaccinated. Second, I'd like to offer an opinion relevant to my background in environmental science. Cruises are notorious for being horrible for the environment, and while details of this event are not yet announced, it is important to me that this concern is vocalized. I hope that these environmental concerns are shared by Bungie as well. Given that the cruise is an addition to GCX, I trust that the main event will still be a blast. Any help to get this seen by someone at Bungie would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Cheers <3

    • The vaccine doesn’t immunize you in the slightest. It only reduces symptoms on the chance you get it. Don’t think you have some magical shield, you can still pass it on.
