When they were 150s they were better than 140s in that they were Lightweight and had a higher rate of fire, but now they're just worse in every way than the original 140s. I mean, look at Thorn, it starts damage falloff at 30m, which is terrible in this meta, while Ace can reach over 36.

That’s actually a good place for damage drop off. 120s make these handcannons look redundant because of their range.

Dire needs an entirely new perk set lol. I actually want to have a kinetic hand canon I can use in PVE for once.

If say stability over range. They feel way too bouncy almost have the same stability as 120s.

Nah thorn starts at 29m and ace starts at 33.35m their perks may give them another 2m. Haven’t checked myself but lumina can reach 31m with blessing buff.

Thorn with the burn damage is a league of it's own. also same goes for wake vigil vs palindrome. WV is weaker in stability than a new 140 (palindrome). It's a trade off stability vs aim assist. I made a thread about converted 150's as well.

Just use sunshot. Still 150, still slays. Not recommended without catalyst.

Those converted 150s have better handling, recoil, stability and aim assist than Ace. Fair trade off I would say.

Thorn can also 2h 1b kill someone. Ace can’t. Also ace is an outlier compared to other hcs.

Thorn 3-taps to around 31 meters with the DoT damage and falloff included, ace 3-taps to the 36 with memento active. Rangefinder 140s are around 34-38 meters too depending on the range stat. They already do really well on almost every map as long as you position properly. With the coming 120 range nerf they'll be even better.

Comparing ace to thorn is kind of silly. Ace of spades is literally the highest ranged handcannon in the game that's still obtainable for 140s. That's like comparing arc logic to gnawing hunger.

As a main with 140s mainly dire promise or palindrome. There isng anything wrong with the range or damage. They are perfectly fine. It's the 120s that's dominate atm with an insane range. But fortunately they are getting a 2m decrease in range 😂 to still make them the strongest hc. But if you play with 140s correctly you know which range to play at and how to close the gap to allow the 140s to be affective.
