That game is called **Halo**.
But the fact that you constantly have PVP players asking for a PVP experience that runs COUNTER to the game's identity, is just proof that this marriage isn't working.

The only identity D2 has is Dissociative identity disorder (DID).
-
No. Actually it has a very clear identity now, and that's the problem. Kind of like a kid at the age of two when Mommy and Daddy tell him to do something and he says "No!!" for the first time.
-
The identity of an impetuous child, nicely done, perfect analogy.
-
Actually its the reverse. Its part of the normal maturation of a growing child, and parents hate it because its inconvenient and frustrating.
-
I can see that.

And who created Halo? And how big was it? How much did people love it? PvP is a big thing, so that comes with responsibility to keep it alive. If the goal is to keep players, to make money by getting new players, perhaps it is a good idea to try new things with this to kind of compromise with the current glaring issue, and give an option to play both with and without it, instead of trying to strike a balance that will never happen

In Halo we had a huge sandbox of additional game modes, types, and variations. Splockets, Shotty Snipers, Fiesta, Infection, Griffball, not to mention the gazillions of Custom games. Some people just don't understand that 'fun' is subjective and that just because the game is primarily set up as "X", doesn't mean it can't have a "W, Y, Z"

Exactly. Couldn't of put it better
