Titan Stasis Melee needs to be inline with other subclass melees

I'm trying to get used to this new Stasis subclass, but one thing I noticed is that the melee ability of the titan is not inline with the way ALL the other melee for the light subclasses work. My main issue is the Melee RESET, you see in the other Titan subclasses if you melee and miss, your melee charge is not wasted, sure it has like a .5 sec reset but it's not wasted if it does not connect to a target. It has been quite frustrating trying to do melee bounties and melee objectives with the stasis melee because if your target just moves out of your way when you lunge at them and you miss, you are stuck waiting for the ability to re-charge, this essentially wastes the melee. I've had Shanks and Dregs just side step out of range and now I have wasted my melee. Please make it work like the rest of the light subclass melee, when you miss with shoulder charge or heck even a punch those abilities keep the charge and reset if you miss.

  • Yeah it isn’t in line with the other subclasses. For starters your super allows you to melee out of being frozen INSTANTLY which is bogus for all the other classes. Secondly you can easily attack hoards of enemies because every slam gives you a mini freeze with an aoe that is ridiculous

  • One other problem I have with it is the AOE effect is not like the others, when you use hammer strike or shoulder charge in a group of 3-4 dreg/shanks, they all take damage and you blow most of them away but with the new stasis melee, only your one target freezes, any other enemies around it just get covered in snow, they don't even get slowed.

      • It really needs attention in pvp. It’s super frustrating when you perfectly time your melee and slam your opponent only to have them kill you a split second later because they didn’t budge. Sometimes they go flying but mostly they stay put.

      • Where’s all the warlocks supporting a buff over here? They didn’t mind freezing us slow titans a mile a way and taking their time getting to us to shotgun us. I agree with this post. The last week and a half Titan mains have been target practice for warlocks and hunters. Titan need more love. Hunter super needs nerfed a little still. It lasts too long and travels too far.

        • I haven't checked it out yet but itd be nice if instead of a wonky lunge they went with a regular melee that caused a stasis explosion that froze nearby enemies when it connects (even if the enemy doesn't die). It'd have a nice tactical use in PvP as well, especially for control.

            I think it would be too overpowered as titans would have crazy mobility with it. My only gripe at the moment is the fact the slow from a hunter melee for some reason disables your melee during super

            Why so you can spam it like shoulder charge in pvp? No thanks fine as intended if Warlocks gotta get obliterated than titans definitely don't need a buff. Whined and now you want more. Titans are ridiculous and purely unskilled players that always want something and blaming anything for their lack of skill. So you should get a buff because you can't aim. Ridiculous.

            • It doesnt have a recharge because it is used for breaking crystals. If it gave back charge on missing enemies you could infinitely break crystals and slow enemies nearby (its a pretty powerful melee ability)

            • As a titan main I’m happy with our current melee since they fixed the hit registration bug (couldn’t hit a broad side of a barn before the fix and nothing was more annoying than using your super only to lunge at an enemy and get a ghost melee). I think us losing or melee ability regardless if we hit something or not is pretty fair seeing how the distance we can cover is pretty large compared to the other shoulder charge. Even if we die mid lunge I believe we still keep half of the energy unless we finished the attack animation.

            • I’m glad to see titans are now seeing what it’s like to have to aim, you run around In crucible with that annoying ass one punch that if you miss you just get to keep, and let’s not talk about the horrendous aim assist it has. You titans now have to aim, good. But if you do think you should get it if you miss, I want my throwing knives back every time I miss, I mean hell even the titan hammer you can go pick back up after throwing.

            • The reason why it's melee has a CD is because you can literally use it to fly out of maps and across gaps that even a sword couldn't. The super turns you into an airplane

            • Personally I really love the melee for the new Titan subclass. I think the mobility is the issue here. If it didn't use charge then it would have crazy good mobility. I'm low key surprised you can't one hit kill with it in crucible though. It's easily the most involved melee to use (outside of throwing knives on bottom tree gunslinger). You really have to get a good feeling for it to get it to work but it's incredibly satisfying when you do.

                You do know it is used two ways either keep holding melee button to lunge till end or release it mid "flight" and it will auto-track target like a missile. It is super good when you get hang of it. Consuming the ability is fine considering how it works, without it you could fly with it cause it does not require sprint charging like light side shoulder charge abilities.

              • Its a f@cking joke bro. It wont even proc MOST of the time and then you just punch and find yourself dashing in with no warning. The amount of time it took me to complete the mele bounty was about an hr! The grenade is semi broken as well. Trying to smash the freeze is a nightmare

                At first I thought the same thing. But after seeing how crazy titans can move with it definitely not. Look up some vids on movement with it and you’ll be good. I think hit registration could be a bit better tho. Only if warlock melee range gets in nerfed

              • Nah its too mobile to keep its charge, hunters don't get their throwing knife back if they miss and the missile melee gets spent on use too. Yeah it sucks when we wiff it but anything more and it would be abused for mobility
