Because when they introduced masterwork weapons, they had no idea that they would introduce Sunsetting one day. Same for when they introduced pinnacle/ritual weapons and their big amount of farm.

They are ruining the game with beyond light. Taking away shit people spent so long grinding in comp for. Making us restart basically. It's pathetic, bungie has consistently ruined the game over time and that shows no signs of stopping

I grind so much for Luna's howl. I also found a nice clan with good pvp players, so i thought i had a chance for Not Forgotten. But what's the point if grinding so much for weapons that will be sunsetted?

Do You only play trials and iron banner?

What dummaas put Luke smith in charge. Worst change to destiny every. It was funny when Deej leaves everyone’s trying to say goodbye in the hopes of gaining forum clout. When Luke leaves cheers will be heard and all sunset players will return. The truth is that he will never leave because he is under qualified for the job he has now.

You mean the guy that was the game director for all 4 major expansions from D1 and D2? The one that was the head of the raid team when Vault of Glass was made? The one that people praised for saving Destiny back in 2015? Lol this is what I don’t get about the forum shit talkers. They want to pin all the blame on someone, and usually that someone has contributed a hell of a lot more positives than negatives to the situation.
The one that people praised for saving Destiny back in 2015?
Christopher Barret? The guy literally known for saving Destiny multiple times?
Lol this is what I don’t get about the forum shit talkers. They want to pin all the blame on someone, and usually that someone has contributed a hell of a lot more positives than negatives to the situation.
Well the problem is more Bungie than anything in Destiny 2. The teams under Activision were more of the ones who contributed mostly whats considered the best additions of D2. Luke Smith is the head but like their own reviews say the problem overall is Bungie has terrible leadership and management. When the problem is poorly reviewed it always goes to the top. This happens in all businesses.

Not true. This has happened once before. When Taken King dropped in D1, all of our weapons were sunset. I hated it then and I hate it now.
-
I hated it then and I hate it now.
exactly, it was incredibly stupid as it also came off of House of Wolves which they focused on letting us upgrade all gear we had to date because "we respect your time playing"

Sunsetting is the biggest mistake Bungie has done. When they made Masterwork and Ritual weapons, it was clear they were made to stay to the end. Sunsetting is a complete paradigm shift.
