• I don't...because I really don't get the attraction of a kill tracker... I really don't. So I have no idea how many kills I have on any weapon. I'm not sure why people care.

 • If you dont care about kill trackers why did you even take the time to respond lol.

 • Because it's related to the topic of sunsetting. And the use of common sense.
You get 9 months to use a weapon. If it takes you 8+ months to get it will get sunsetted in 4 or less months. You are not bothered by sunsetting because you don't understand how it works maybe? In season 12 all of season 1-8 gets sunsetted In season 13 all of season 9 gets sunsetted In season 14 all of season 10 gets sunsetted In season 15 all of season 11 gets sunsetted In season 16 all of season 12 gets sunsetted In season 17 all of season 13 gegs sunsetted In season 18 all of season 14 gets sunsetted In season 19 all of season 15 gets sunsetted In season 20 all of season 16 gets sunsetted Ect Ect Ect. Still feel the same way?

 • I know how sunsetting works lol. I don't really find using the same guns for more than 6 months to be that fun. As long as every season has enough weapons to replace the old I see absolutely no problem

 • Okay, fair enough What about armor? Thats going to be sunsetted also. Bungie can justify the weapons but armor? How do you over use a set of armor? If someone would use raid armor in the raid and trials armor in Trials but what about when those sets get sunsetted? Will those activities also be gone? It makes no sense

 • I do think armor sunsetting is kind of dumb. Because at the end of the day, like you said your armor doesn't have a specific feeling. Especially with how much RNG there is with armor rolls.

 • Probably, because when it comes to sunsetting, there's a lot more feeling than thinking going on.

 • I'm not crying. Sunsetting is a lazy, inexpensive way for Bungie to not actually have to produce content.

 • How exactly is that?

 •
I'm not crying. Sunsetting is a lazy, inexpensive way for Bungie to not actually have to produce content.
To each their own. But what you just said is purely your opinion. Sunsetting on its own is a great thing for the game. You say its a way for bungie to not have to produce new content but I see the exact opposite. With sunsetting bungie HAS to produce new content or it will fail. Look at the past few seasons without sunsetting, the content did not matter at all as essentially no weapons were worth getting. With sunsetting you will actually have to grind weapons again.

 • Sunsetting just means reissuing. They're already doing it.

 • No, of course it doesn't. That's just the misconception you like to adopt to push your narrative. It's obviously much more complicated and nuanced than that. But that makes your narrative seem sketchy so you ignore the actual reality.

 • Instead of just rambling why not actually explain what you mean. Or just ramble some more.

 •
Sunsetting just means reissuing. They're already doing it.
It literally doesnt but ok. The reissuing rn is a problem, but it doesnt represent sunsetting as a whole.

 • Remember you said this when more shit gets reissued. Then find me and apologise.

 • Why would I apologize? Reissuing is reissuing and sunsetting is sunsetting. You say sunsetting is reissuing but reissuing is just bungie being lazy. Without sunsetting, reissuing is still there and most likely worse. Im not saying that theres no chance that bungie messes up sunsetting by only doing reissues. But rather sunsetting is something that might actually get rid of some of the reissuing.

 • How could it be worse without sunsetting?

 • But still, none of them will be worth getting. You will now be FORCED to go for new mediocre loot because you can no longer use your old mediocre loot

 •
But still, none of them will be worth getting. You will now be FORCED to go for new mediocre loot because you can no longer use your old mediocre loot
The whole point of sunsetting is that they will be able to add good weapons without power creep

 • Thats still power creep. It's just forced power creep. There will either be great weapons that break balance and are required for all content, or there will be no good weapons. Bungie has proven themselves unable and unwilling to achieve actual balance

 • I know what power creep is. The fact is that if all of the new weapons are worse than the old ones or do not fulfill the same roles, then people will be disappointed just as they were in y1 of d2. If the new weapons are better than the old ones or fulfill the same roles, then we have power creep again so what was the point of sunsetting?
Sunsetting on its own is a great thing for the game..
Less so when it’s used as an excuse to recycle content.
