Do you guys remember the hive god Xol? I think it was super unfair what Bungie did to them. All throughout the game, Xol is talking to you, giving you exotics and stuff but then Bungie decides to have you kill him in a super easy strike. They could've done something really cool with Xol for a raid in my opinion instead of having him die to 1 gnawing hunger mag. Anyone else feeling the same way?

I suggest you heed tolands warning.... "you think what you killed on Mars was what the hive call a god?"
-
We only killed him temprarily in the strike. He lives on as our sniper rifle whisper of the worm.
-
Ghost: I've never seen something so powerful! Nova bomb later Ghost: we did it guardian... Randal "The Muthaffukin" Vandal, took more skill and jellyhorn rounds to just make a dent....
-
Try to remember, once upon a time even xol was difficult to kill. You actually benefitted from utilizing the Valkyries throughout the mission. It's just a case of strike fatigue imo. Lots of great strikes throughout the story of Destiny, but at least as of now, we've had a lot of the same strikes, for a long long time and since they're all 300 light below our average guardian, regardless of the fact only 50 light above or below is taken into consideration, it's just old content that is too easy at this point. I would really love to have gotten a new strike every season since Forsaken, and effectively replaced and refreshed the strike playlist. Strikes are a great playlist activity, but its one that desperately needs a breath of fresh air.

Don't worry he'll be back at some point, probably with a new shader.
-
They did whole D2 dirty
-
Since he wasn't in an ascendant realm when he expired, is he really dead? We need a Xol raid!
-
Bungie did Xol dirty...
And Disney did Black Widow dirty. I'm still not cool with that shit. The OG female Avenger gets pushed out of the way for Captain SJW. Talk about some bullshit.

Edited by kellygreen45: 9/23/2020 1:58:32 PMThat strike is two year old content. That strike was actually fairly difficult when it dropped with Warmind back in Spring 2018. Also Xol is the weakest of the Worm Gods. He fled here with Nokris to avoid being killed for his power by the other Worm Gods to assure their own survival. Remember. Oryx killed one of the Worm gods and took his power. ...and we killed Oryx....and his kid. So the notion that Xol should have been this epic raid boss doesn’t fit the lore.
-
Well he is the weakest of the Worm Gods and was frozen and without tribute for who knows how long. So the weakest of the Worms got weaker.
-
They did something with Xol, and Nokris! in that neither of them are dead. Xol is alive as Whisper, which plays host to a ton of speculation, and Nokris is alive, straight up.
-
Xol was a worm... he got squished. End of story.
-
people thought norkis could be this amazing another powerful foe but bungie just turned it into a strike.
-
Technically hes not dead and this was part of his plan. See whisper mission on Io before its vaulted. Odds are he will return in some way, shape, or form.
-
They also did Crota dirty.. that raid is the definition of a strike
-
Killed a God with a stick. One of the many many many problems that was within the first two expansions.
-
Nokris too tbh this mf supposed to be a monster but we just kinda kill him with ease
-
He's not dead per say.............but he's also the weakest of the Wormgods. Oryx Killed the strongest. Which leaves a few still out there somewhere.
-
Yes, I was a little confused. With the lore Explaining that fight, Xol wanted to die. It's in the lore. You should read it. He's actually very interesting on why he wanted to die
-
Xol is also the one Strike that is being put in the DCV, but his Strike exclusive reward wasn't obtainable through the Evacuation quest. Instead we gotta make sure everyone has a Mindbender's.
-
Xol and Panoptes looked good enough to be raid bosses. Instead, one is just a strike boss and the other is a story boss that you never have to revisit for any reason. Meanwhile, the REAL raid bosses are... a fat robot, a sad diaper man and a ghetto metal gear knockoff.
-
Technically he turned into whisper of the worm but because of vaulting I have no idea how that’s going to turn out
-
It’s destiny man, don’t ask questions. Bungie doesn’t think, nor do you deserve an explanation as to why this games a total mess of confusion and shame.
-
They really did. Xol was legitimately difficult when that came out. Now it's considered a failure of you don't send him straight to final stand with the ogres.
-
I thought he was still alive
-
They did all the big bad guys dirty including destroying the whole idea of guardians being powerful enough to take any of them on alone. So they did more than just do one evil dirty.
