I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, And I know this may be upsetting to many of you.
But bungie does in fact sometimes listen.

2 RepliesIt was done because they made a mistake. Fixed mistake and got hit with complaints. Instead of leaving lake of shadows up for several weeks, they allowed players to farm it double 1 week. Sucks for people who couldn’t play this week I will give them credit when they choose to do something like this on their own. Not cause by a bug. Not cause by a 2 month delay in dlc. Not cause by not thinking about this when they delayed the season. Stuff like this should be a norm every once in while. Not forced by mistakes.
