Raids have never made sense to me because in the promotional material leading up to the first Destiny and the story emphasis on fire teams of 3 it's just weird to suddenly need 3 more players when we spend the majority of time leveling and grinding in small teams.
Personally, I wish Bungie would stop making Raids and instead just give us 2 Dungeons per expansion. Bungie can still do great scenery, platforming, puzzles, and massive bosses with just 3 players. Dungeons are just more manageable and straight to the point.

Because raids take 2 fire teams....
-
They just use all three classes to promote. I think Kabr and his fireteam were a 6 man in VoG
-
lol I consider Kabr's team and Eris team gank squads tbh. Fire team has almost always referred to a team of 3 Guardians, like when Zavala says he needs his fire team back, Ashers group, Mithrax and his Hunter and Warlock etc. Teams of 3 are everywhere in the lore and its been this way because Guardians are becoming scarce since no more Ghosts are being made.

Raids are one of the best things about destiny your suggestion is laughable.
-
The concepts would be preserved but there would be less 'Simon Says' nonsense. Basically, think of Raids like Vault of Glass, Kings Fall, and Last wish with some mechanics stripped down or revamped to still be challenging for 3 players. Ever look at Raid completion statistics? It's time to try a new approach.

It's called strikes and dungeons is what you're looking for.
-
No I'm pretty sure I'm looking for the bosses and experiences in Raids to be geared toward 3 players and not 6. I made that clear.

Then you still dont get it.

Where do you get these statistics? Please dont tell me you go by trophies/achievements.
