Be Heard - Black Lives Matter
Today is June 19th, a day of growing importance in the United States. It is recognized here as Juneteenth, or Freedom Day. On this date, in 1865, slaves in Texas celebrated as they were told for the first time that they were free, and slavery was no longer permitted. We at Bungie would like to take this opportunity to celebrate Juneteenth with you, no matter where you are around the world.
During an event earlier this month, we spent 8 minutes and 46 seconds in silence to honor the death of George Floyd, and promised that we would commit more time, energy, and money towards the fight against systemic racism. We invite you to join us in that battle by showing your support and making your voices heard.

Before I get destroyed, I'd like to point out a couple things. Yes, black lives [i]do[/i] matter, but not more than anybody else's. Innocent people are being killed. In fact, somebody in my neighborhood was shot right through the chest in full view of his kids when they were playing Tennis. Killing people isn't helping their cause. Also, it is incredibly hypocritical to say "Hey, we matter!" and then kill somebody in front of their children. Do they really expect killing peolle is gonna get them to listen? What makes [b]your[/b] life matter more than the man you just killed? What they [i]should've[/i] done is gather peacefully outside of a building. It's called a peaceful protest and it gets the job done. But, apparently their lives matter more so... [spoiler]Everybody's life matters. No more, no less. Saying you matter and then killing somebody, acting like they didn't matter is awful. The majority of people think people like me are racist because we're against BLM. I'm not against because of their race, I'm against what they're doing.[/spoiler] -

(3 individuals maybe?) If you are practicing diversity why am I not seeing that in these promotional vidocs ? The optics at the very least are questionable. It is admirable to say Black Lives Matter and to take a stand against systemic racism but I would like to see that you actually believe that.

2 RepliesBlack lives matter and they always will but the Black lives matter movement is corrupt, the media is going on about white supremacy which is a corrupt topic. Let’s look at the bigger picture for a sec the movement is based on ending racial inequality and yet the movement is going on about ending white privileged, which isn’t real and I can prove it. Blacks get free scholarships which I have no problem with, I think it’s great actually, and in the military (Which I’m apart of) Hispanics, Blacks they get free promotions because of they’re race. So if you don’t want to call that racial privilege then I don’t know what is. Whites don’t have that so the term “white privilege” is a false claim. Anyway where was I...just know that the movement used to be based on I a good standing but now it’s really just pushing for white slaves. Don’t believe me? Answer this, have u even been put in a position where maybe you were working or just doing what you normally would and there was a man maybe not doing his job or he took your sandwich at lunch (real examples btw, people have been in those positions) and you asked “hey why did you do that?” He/she will respond “it’s because I’m black isn’t it?” You will obviously respond “no” because it’s not true. Next thing you know, you will have to prove it and how? Give them stuff, give them privileges. But it won’t work, because they’re goal is to not work and when your not working that’s because you have slaves to cater to you. And that is the outcome if these riots get they’re way. And this idea has been mentioned many times, there’s videos on black people preaching about the destruction and inslavement of white people (look it up) now just know many blacks aren’t pushing for this, some are fighting for equality and the have a right to do so, I have many friends who are black. They are amazing people and we are happy to have them. But that is the truth and I Hope most of you understand that.

Like any movement, there are people who attach that don't represent it. Being a cop is statistically less dangerous than being a garbage man. If you look at an issue which exists (and it does) then go 'what about' , it's a dog whistle for another agenda that you're being a bit cowardly about admitting in public. You don't actually care, you just want to demean those that do. It's talk, fluff, and nonsense. Good work, bungie. A few screaming triggered neocons are a small price to pay for being ethically correct. Patriotism isn't supporting your country no matter what it does. Patriotism is always looking to improve your country and recognizing problems because of the love you have for those in it. Get your priorities straight, folks.

It’s a tragedy when a man is shot 7 times in the back in front of his children while stepping into a car Surely deescalation or non lethal means should be used. Yet....the policeman involved was a bicycle policeman who had a proven track record of non violent community engagement as a non racist. Something does not add up. Is it training, resourcing, threat assessment, dispatch decisions, was there a concealed weapon in evidence ? The facts need to come out, root causes identified and lasting effective changes implemented. Depending on the solution(s), the could mean spending more money on police directly or spending more on a related activity such as sending in negotiators or social service professionals to help police de-escalate these tricky situations. We need to get back to the point where guilt and punishment are determined in the courts and not on the streets.

There are things about this game that I don’t like. I have been and will continue to be vocal about them. Having said that, I also believe this is a great game and still has the potential to be much better. I also appreciate Bungie’s efforts to improve the real world. I don’t always agree with how Bungie does it, but that doesn’t detract from the spirit within which it is done. I find it exemplary, and even more so your willingness as individuals to get involved personally, especially when doing so is at great risk to yourselves and your loved ones. Thank you very, very much!
