Be Heard - Black Lives Matter
Today is June 19th, a day of growing importance in the United States. It is recognized here as Juneteenth, or Freedom Day. On this date, in 1865, slaves in Texas celebrated as they were told for the first time that they were free, and slavery was no longer permitted. We at Bungie would like to take this opportunity to celebrate Juneteenth with you, no matter where you are around the world.
During an event earlier this month, we spent 8 minutes and 46 seconds in silence to honor the death of George Floyd, and promised that we would commit more time, energy, and money towards the fight against systemic racism. I use to support BLM till they tore a couple's fence down and Entered their yard without permission and then had the nerve to get the couple arrested for coming outside with guns to defend their yard as any home owner would do.....if Martin Luther King was alive today he would be ashamed of America his I have a dream has become a weapon people use against innocent people

Don't you think this is rather inappropriate to be asking a global audience to fund an American organisation? If anything, this should only be visible to the American audience rather than the EMEA and Asian members. We have no such issues with slavery or police brutality against alleged minorities. It is most likely to be against the native population. Also, I don't think the organisation's founders need another mansion.

5 RepliesSaying that Black Lives Matter isn’t a political term for those too ignorant to understand. It is a reminder and a call to action for POC to be treated equally. How often do you hear about police brutality or innocent YT men/women/children being shot or beaten to death??? When you see police or get pulled over how does it make you feel? I’m not a survivor of police brutality. I was racially profiled, dragged cuffed to a hospital bed and locked in the lower level of the hospital until the officers felt like transporting me to booking. I was denied water, food and even a bathroom break. They treated me worse than an animal, I have no priors and I’m training to be a firefighter. They didn’t even mirandize and the charges were dropped for lack of evidence. You say “slavery was over 400 years ago so why don’t you get over it” well guess what!? My grandmothers and grandfathers are only 70+ years old and picked cotton still for little pay or no pay at all. Current generations are still trying to recover from an uneven playing field while YT people have all had a head start yet still all we ask for is equality but these people take it as violence. Being black is a crime in today’s world and that needs to change. All life is precious unless you’re black and brown. The truth and answers to all this strife is so simple but it’s like You people enjoy playing the victim even though you’ve victimized so many different races ethnicities and countries for generations.

The people on the streets don't receive that charity, but instead go to the founders who use that charity money to purchase mansions. Please. I come to the forums to see people get mad about destiny and escape the real world as I take a dump, if I want to see Blm I’ll just open my local news to see the one of 100 story’s revolving around this subject, In reality all life’s matter not just black, stop putting up walls around all ethnicities by opening a can of worms you know that has a long lasting history of conflict on a video game forum, your actually going to drive away more business and cause more chaos with this lol, I mean take a look at the comments below, this thread is from last year and some mod did a necro Becuase they’re too lazy to write a new one, probably not even their words in the first place tbh just a puppet dancing on its strings

I'll bet they'll delete any post that don't agree with their narrative! Why haven't I seen a post from Bungie Honoring our men & women in the armed forces?? Many have died so that we can be out here playing the game and many other freedoms which are being slowly taken away. I served 9yr in the Army and see many changes to our military. not all good ones People now days are called racist simply because they don't agree with a certain way of thinking. So please Bungie donate to worthy causes like food banks for the poor

Now In the past year we’ve seen drastic attempts to end racism but it’s actually done the opposite, don’t believe me? Have you watched the cartoon Soul? In the film the protagonist is trying to discover what’s happening and there’s this point where he says to his companion “you sound like a middle aged white lady” is this stopping racism? Now you see it everywhere, books, articles, podcasts etc. Didn’t Morgan Freeman say that racism truly ends when we stop categorizing each other by the color of our skin. Allow me to elaborate it for you, a lot of people are arguing that whites opinions and discoveries are irrelevant because of they’re “privilege” which will be brought up further in the discussion. First, why does it matter that these opinionated activists are white? Why does the melon in level matter more then the maret of they’re ideas? Was it not Martin Luther King jr who said “I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of they’re skin but by the content of they’re character” for as much as you people like to accuse others for being racist you sure do judge others by they’re race a lot, oh but it’s not racist when you do it because of power struggle or some meddle generic Bull-blam- right? As weather or not the prejudice someone is being subjected to is institutionalized makes any difference to you when it happens right? Screw off, racism is racism regardless of who’s doing it to whom. Calling it something other then racism doesn’t change the fact that it is racist and anyone who says otherwise are racists. This mentality that only certain people can be racist tinges on the categorization of people based on they’re enthnisity and described attributes to them such as “privilege” based on those racial categories, you HAVE to judge people by they’re race to make this argument work, you HAVE to make generalizations and assumptions on they’re race in order to make those judgements so you HAVE to be racist to make this argument. How do you not see the problem with this? How do you not see the problem of putting others race before the marets of they’re argument and categorizing people to a higherarchy and consideration based on they’re race. How do you expect to fight racism with racism?? Your exploiting racism and you don’t even know you are, so much for fighting for equality and social justice.

Before I get destroyed, I'd like to point out a couple things. Yes, black lives [i]do[/i] matter, but not more than anybody else's. Innocent people are being killed. In fact, somebody in my neighborhood was shot right through the chest in full view of his kids when they were playing Tennis. Killing people isn't helping their cause. Also, it is incredibly hypocritical to say "Hey, we matter!" and then kill somebody in front of their children. Do they really expect killing peolle is gonna get them to listen? What makes [b]your[/b] life matter more than the man you just killed? What they [i]should've[/i] done is gather peacefully outside of a building. It's called a peaceful protest and it gets the job done. But, apparently their lives matter more so... [spoiler]Everybody's life matters. No more, no less. Saying you matter and then killing somebody, acting like they didn't matter is awful. The majority of people think people like me are racist because we're against BLM. I'm not against because of their race, I'm against what they're doing.[/spoiler]
