Getting Tired of The Lies Luke Smith

Does anyone remember when this game was released, it was going to be for the casuals, but then the content creators and people with 0 life that spent it all in game started complaining, so Luke Smith came back out and threw the bounties back at us from D1 and said to us “this game is no longer about the casuals” and so they lost over 300,000 people in a season. Forsaken dropped and brought people back hoping things have changed, Activision was getting all the finger pointing, all the blame for everything wrong with Destiny, and then Luke Smith wrote that long “Liars Handshake” of a BS letter to the community about the hardships of being a manager and the developers being overworked and so on, for pity after we just heard from another company about how hard the “crunch” was. Forsaken was slightly a better direction yet they brought back every Crutch weapon (moved those Shotguns, Snipers, Fusions to both Second and First slots) then came the apes again. Shadowkeep: Luke Smith returns with a directors cut, we get Viddocs explaining that “we are going to be taking Crucible apart and making it Healthy again (as they buff AutoRifles into God Tier hip fire status) they bring back Trials (still busted) and everyone that complained about Activision is watching Bungie continue to have Errors on every Tuesday reset since because the developers have 0 idea what they are doing. The programmers are just “insert here” and watch it go. Only the past week or two has there been a decrease in disconnects due to a lack of players. Why is it that this game had been solely blamed on Activision until they left and the company showed that their true colors are “let’s lie to the community over and over and not do anything productive” Luke Smith also complains that there’s no enough space to keep adding, yet everytime we see a Hotfix/Patch there is another UI added that didn’t need to be there? Useless data much? Wasting space I see? There was absolutely 0 point to a “hints” bar when I fly everywhere that I can’t turn off. Or the fire team being shown as 6 when I’m flying around since you just HAD to implement that instead of security on the server. The amount of decisions being made by this company is astoundingly only pointed at Content Creators which makes the casuals who started kicking off your Activision free campaign with investing in you to get your crap together is being punished by your decisions. The people that made you are being pushed out and disrespected by your words everytime you sit there and write about what SHOULD be next. You never deliver. BUNGIE never delivers. Don’t give us stuff to keep us complacent, give us the content YOU promised. Stop feeding us BS and expect us not to snap when we buy the content that we were promised, to be completely disappointed. Season of the Worthy was purely for Trials only and we are well aware that your company only rushed to do this horrible Seraph tower event because someone called you out before hand that Trials would be the ONLY thing you focused on, and with the poor explanation of what to do at the towers, the poor reward system for completions and the lack of “I really want to do this” is gone. BUNGIE has destroyed Destiny 2 and the only people to fix it are the people willing to speak the truth and not tolerate being lied to. The elitist whos pockets are growing fat from paid recoveries won’t tell them the truth. They are exploiting people all the time and Bungie even promotes it. Twitch Prime rewards: you know, for the only people that pay for other people to pay them to play your game. Yeah thanks, so in other words the people who have continued to pay Eververse for hopes of a better game (since you complain about the income) we don’t ever nor will we ever be appreciated for bailing your company out of bankruptcy. 🤷🏻‍♂️ but hey, screw us right? The fact that if you even take 100,000 people and add all the DLC from Destiny 2 base game (before it was free) and think about the collectors editions, the multi-console Seasonal Passes and so on, we run your company. We paid for each one of those employees paychecks, and in return in you decide to only care about the Content Creators? This is the money hungry, disconnected Bungie that you all worship now? The people that cry about being worked hard by Activision that slave drive YOU the same way and expect nothing less? Doesn’t that seem a bit screwed to anyone else? I wish I could find the article about them complaining about not going home to their loved ones because mean old Activision. Yet you make us grind for the same amount of time for less than a paycheck, and continue to find this to be acceptable. This is what needs to be changed about Bungie and Destiny. No MATTER the amount of time spent in game. OUR time matters. Some of us are 20+ year Halo vets that came over to support our childhood company and in response we (the generation that helped start you) are disrespected and treated like we never paid for your hospital bills, your vacations, hell most of us helped pay for your house that you started a family in. All we ask in return is respect for our time. You ask for us to not jump down your throat when something happens yet you demand the opposite in our situation. Golden Rule: due on to others as you would like done onto you In short: don’t be a greedy, lying, toxic, disrespectful company Or the community will be built of only this and pay it back in full.

You have no clue what you're ranting about here, and I am sure that no true fan of the franchise shares your view on this matter. That whole 'casual' experience you so badly want was the one things I hated with the D2 launch: - The game felt slow and boring - You had the same rolls on all weapons = no replayability D1 released after a lot of internal drama Some lead Bungie devs left the company due to the predatory monetization plan laid out by Activision. It was not in the spirit of what Bungie stood for. Anonymous posts on developer forums have been posted telling their story, as they cannot go public (contractual agreements). Who can forget the "loot cave" from D1? Yeah.. it was the lack of content combined with an early release, and not a full release but DLC based on top of that - all Activision's calls. Their money - their decision pretty much. Now the game has started to regain some sort of promise once again. Who wants to be rewarded for being mediocre at something? Getting pinnacle rewards is supposed to be hard, and in my opinion, that's the sort of content the game needs more of in PvE and PvP. Everyone are not supposed to go flawless in Trials. Everyone isn't good enough to clear raids without being carried. Everyone can't do the 'Pit of Heresey' or 'Shattered Throne' solo without dying. That's just how things are. Everyone are not supposed to be able to do everything. Most content in the game are for everyone, but a small percentage of it needs to be driven towards those who are seeking challenges. It brings meaning to some of us, and believe it or not, we love to help friends that require help with stuff like that. The past 2 seasons after the split has been all about trial and error from Bungie. They are trying to improve, and I see promising changes, but they still have a way to go. Bungie had to change their entire business model, which is a huge challenge in it's own right. They were behind on development, which they admitted, due to the challenges involving the 'free to play' project. A huge gamble and decision was made. This required a lot of resources. This has fatigued a lot of players, but that's just natural. I play more casually now than I did before, and as a result of that I enjoy it more whenever I play. If you love Activision so much, why don't you go play Call of Duty instead? Activision are known for predatory monetization schemes, I mean.. they literally charged people for a bloody red dot sight in COD at one point. They are huge fans of loot chests and make it look like slots to keep people addicted to open them. They obviously know what they're doing. They do not give a flying -blam!- about anything but printing money, and they are particularly known for treating their staff as garbage. This is why so many people hate on them.. One thing is for sure though, Bungie cannot keep everyone happy, so if losing 300,000 casual players means getting better content, I am all for it! It's all about balance though, so as long as people understand that the entire game is not for them, but parts are for those seeking challanges, it's all good. These are the changes they need to implement urgently for PvP players now that Trials have returned: - Fix the connection for PvP - this one is urgent! - Add a disconnect protection system that does not mess up the experience of those disconnecting (and their teams) - Give players an incentive to keep going flawless. As of right now, players are just farming tokens. That's not the point of trials - you are supposed to farm wins. - On PC there are cheaters/hackers everywhere. Put trials behind a paywall or something to lock them out. - Create some sort of system that does not ban accounts, but MacID instead (or something similar)
