PvP matching is garbage
Seriously its Fn terrible and how anyone finds it fun is beyond me.

I agree. Can't seem to find a match even in 6v6 where I'm forced to play against trials sweats that have 5.0 KDAs. Fun fun fun.

Yep it's garbage allright! Especially comp. Not only that, also getting hit or hit around corners. I think internet connection plays a huge role in gameplay...

Yeah, it's even been a lot worse recently as well. The most noticeable thing I keep running into is enemies not taking damage from my shots... It seems like only about half of them have been doing damage, while the other half of my shots hit the target but have no effect. Either that, or they all of a sudden die a few seconds after the game lets them kill me first. Then theres people glitching all over the place. I'll be shooting someone in front of me and the next thing I know, they're melee-ing me from the side. Not to mention, my melee hits do nothing as well. Last night was so bad that I quit playing the game and went to bed early, even after restarting the console to see if that helped. My internet is good... no packet loss, have up to 500 mbps but averages around a little over 400. All fiber. Most importantly: I've been playing a LOT of crucible the past couple months. The more I play it, the more I've felt like it's not about skill, but about how lucky you are that the game actually registered your kill. There's been numerous and numerous times where my damage to the enemy didn't register and it let them kill me in return, sometimes costing me the match. Those types of encounters add up, to where now I feel I'm almost at a breaking point with it.

I'm running into a lot of lopsided matches in comp. There is something not working right.

The last 3 play sessions for me have had the most lag ive seen in a while. Matches starting 4v6. I think its time to say -blam!- this games pvp and take a break till they figure something out. This is not enjoyable and honestly im just tired of giving feedback about the same shit since D1.

I struggle with it, but still play pvp. Ever since trials came back, unbalanced matches are at all time high.

I mean, bungie made a solo comp game mode. Would it be difficult to make a solo quick play mode where it's 6 vs 6? I love the idea of 6 solo players vs 6 solo players. Plus I do enjoy loading into a screen that says "your team lost" the moment I load into a game. Makes no sense. The worst PvP i have ever seen or played, ranging from networking issues to matchmaking to cheating. It just gets worse and worse.

7 Repliescrucible in general is garbage. Everyone is running around with a shotgun/sniper setup. at range, they oneshot, at close they oneshot you. The biggest mistake for PVP was when they changed up the weapon slots to allow snipers and shotguns in slots other than heavy. Whats the point of a nicely rolled pulse rifle or autorifle when someone is just going to outsnipe me everytime.

Not sure what players expect from match making do u want it ur the more skilled player and v casuals, u win some u lose some just that simple

17 RepliesA fix the sweats would despise is a solo only mode. It would be wildly popular and would overtake all other modes. 6 solos vs 6 solos period. Put it out there and I guarantee they try hards would complain.

I don't think Matchmaking is your problem. I had a look at your stats and gear. Your weapons are not remotely competitive even for quick play. I'm not saying you have to use the meta but you're using Wardens Law on your Hunter and Sweet Business on your Titan. Wardens Law is used by 0.0530% of the player population according to https://destinytracker.com/destiny-2/db/items/233423981-wardens-law Maybe matchmaking is part of the problem but you'll have more fun if you stop using garbage weapons.

2 RepliesWe're 3 weeks into a fresh season and the matchmaking is slower and the connections are worse than I can remember them ever being. I don't know if the game is going to be playable by the end of the season.

It depends when you start the round are you at 49% win loss or 50%. For me if I'm at 49% that means I win the round if I'm at 50% it means I lose. My kd the game seems to think i belong between 1.43 and 1.48 kd If I hit 1.48 It becomes fully impossible for me to hit anything ever. If I fall to 1.43 I become a god and get a 31 kill round it's all bullshit.
