Tips for getting out of comp limbo?

I’ve been working towards the Not Forgotten, and i have done everything up to getting to the 5500 gp legend. After reaching 4800 I’ve reached a limbo state where I win some matches and then go on a loosing spree, getting me nowhere. I do well on some matches and less than favorable on others. Most often as is the case its mostly the enemy that will make or break a streak. Ive done everything I can think of to get out of this state, and have even used some traveller-forsaken crutches. Anyone have any tips for finally hitting legend and being done with comp for the rest of my life?

  • Just use wormhusk bottom arcstrider double arc battery on hunter or oem on titan. Bonus points if everyone on your team uses one of those loadouts. Free wins no matter how bad you are

I got stuck at 3900 for a while before I hit legend. I just found that I had to disengage after my teammates died and regroup with them closer to spawn. Taking on two or three opposing players isn’t in my skill set. I’ll usually check out my teammates and the opposing teams load-outs to see what they’re running. If my teammates run snipers, I’ll equip a shotty. If the other team is full of snipers I know I can slow play a bit and try to out snipe them. If they run multiple shotties, I know they will likely rush. Keeping the other team from acquiring heavy ammo is key, obviously. It’s almost a guaranteed kill for whichever team picks it up. When your team is up lives, play elusive and stay back. Not feeding kills while up can win matches. Always give it a round or two to get in sync with teammates and the opposition alike. Learning tendencies is helpful. If you find your team is down a round or two, stick with a teammate closely. Teamshots always win versus a single guardian. If the other team pops super, just run. If you’re confident you and a teammate can team shot, have at it. Otherwise it can just provide the opposition with orbs for quicker supers if you die. Saving up your super for a later round can be great if your team is up. Never solo super when your team is out of lives and your opposition has 3 players on the go with lives in reserve. Sometimes you can get lucky, but you aren’t creating orbs for teammates. Learning lanes on maps is good. Angles on heavy and other high traffic areas can be covered nicely with a sniper. Always use weapons that you’re comfortable with. Masterworked weapons can spawn orbs on double kills, also good. Good luck to all of those still grinding legend ! You have just over a week to get there ! If I can do it, so can you.
