Guys, keep in mind that we, the luna and NF owners, had around 8 months the best pvp guns in our hands. It is time thaat we let others have fun too. PvP wasn't made exclusively for us hardcore sweaters.
I have my luna, I played the gun for 4 months without a break in crucible and I WANT THIS NERF!
Yeah, it took time and skill to get the guns but we had already enough benefit from them.
I will be happy when I can pick up my auto rifles again without worrying about lunas and NF around each corner.
And it is kinda ironic that you guys, which have obviously so much skill, complain about a nerf which would you only force to have EVEN MORE SKILL with the guns or playing guns which do require actually gun skill and knowledge.
I don't want to say that luna and NF are crutch cannons but I feel like all the complainers didn't touched other primary guns since they got the pinnacles. It is time that you learn to play other guns again.

However, for the time and effort required to get these (or playing with bad WiFi), instead maybe lock these weapons out of non-competitive crucible and Gambit Prime. Let the people that have these weapons use them on each other (in Competitive Crucible) and ads in PVE. Not on us mortal players.

I dont play cruicble mainly because I get curb stomped by those weapons. And im not putting the effort in to get better. Its a video game and I only play for enjoyment. That being said I just go get my PvP experience elsewhere. I play halo, or battlefield. But I dont think those guns should be nerfed. Not fair to those who stuck around to get that pinnacle weapon. I suck at Destiny PvP so I dont bother with it. Ha. Simple problem, simple solution. Other people should either attempt to get thise weapons or stop playing PvP. They shouldnt -blam!- and moan.

By the time Opulence rolls out, Luna’s will have been the best gun for a YEAR. That’s the longest standing meta in destiny history. It took longer to get my Grasp if Malok than it did to get Luna’s or Recluse. Just because you worked for it doesn’t mean you’re entitled to have it be what you want.

They have it in their heads that the time they spent getting these weapons is worth more than the majority of the player base's 8 months of dealing with these weapons. It isn't. These guns don't promote a healthy environment. Yeah, it sucks for the people who got their guns legit, but these adjustments will make the Crucible a far more enjoying place. Most Luna's and even some NF users didn't even have to deal with Luna or NF in comp until after they had it. I personally didn't see a single Luna until I passed 2100 in comp. I didn't see my first NF until I hit Mythic. Now, casual players want those weapons but end up meeting gatekeepers who already have them. People are going around with NF at 800 Glory to boost their stats. So now they feel as if getting either gun isn't worth it at all, so they just leave PvP and spend their time somewhere else. This makes the Crucible more frustrating than enjoyable for the vast majority of players. And for a casual player, aka the vast majority of players who are in this game or left solely because of these guns, countering teams of these guns is far easier said than done. I've practiced a lot in this meta and I can work around it. I can hang if I decide to take it seriously, which I rarely do. I have no problems dropping a 0.5 KDA. It's just a number. But as for the guy at the bottom of my team trying to have fun with a bow and sidearm? He is just getting stomped so hard by teamshotting NF users in IB that he can't even try his build? That's just gotta suck. To feel like the meta on console is so strong that there isn't any point for most of us to have fun is so aggravating. With these nerfs, I hope to see more people in the Crucible. It won't be a perfect place, but it'll be a lot more inviting than it is now.

This is a pretty cool point. I suppose it's just tough luck to the people who only got it recently (I don't mean that sarcastically). I really want to use this situation to make known how bad Handcannons feel on console. I'm certain they felt better in D1 although I did play D1 on Xbox and D2 on PS4 so maybe I'm just bad with a PS4 controller idk. Bungie should aim to make the console gameplay mirror that of PC gameplay. It just... Feels... So good on PC. And so asjkdabsd blergh on PS4. I'd rather they rework recoil on Handcannons in general than nerf the two guns that people worked really hard for.

9 RepliesShouldve just made it comp exclusive, as a pinnacle weapon still, and i wouldve been a sweaty weapon only used in sweats. As it stands Bungie have 0 choice really, as this nerf has clearly come from game data that shows a) they have no real rivals in terms of ttk in quickplay, and b) Crucible numbers have plummeted If quickplay is mainly infested with sweaty loadouts then it defeats the whole point of quickplay, and is anything but encouraging to new players or people who play pvp sparingly. Bungie did this cos the data shows this is toxic for quickplay and is causing a stale decline in the people doing the activity. At least now they can make new weapons to challenge them, although skilled users will still be beastly with them 2 guns ive no doubt. It was stupid that 2 weapons so strong went unrivaled for so long, and could be used in the casual playlist they werent even earned in. Epic fail Bungie.

I agree. I don’t understand the issue. If people like 180 HCs so much, then there are other options such as Trust. If you were skilled enough to get your Luna’s legit then other 180 HCs will be fine or go crazy and use a different gun type. People are just spamming their Luna’s anyways making it almost sound like it’s firing on automatic rapid fire. They can still do that with other 180 HCs if they like.

9 RepliesPeople do realize that when this nerf rolls out it will take a few days for the better players to sort out the new Meta. The better players will still roll 6 deep in QP and if your a .5kd now you’ll still be a .5 kd then. If your a 1.5kd player now you’ll still be a 1.5kd player then. The results will be the same lol. Absolutely nothing will change except that icon showing what gun killed you. This nerf does nothing to fix the issues in crucible. The issue is the lack of any skill based matchmaking. A six stack of players good enough to earn NF will still demolish six blue berries if they used nothing but blue weapons. If you think otherwise your living in a delusion.

Well I'm against it. But not for the reasons you might think. I'm very happy to change up the meta. However I think the nerf is too much, Changing the gun completely isn't the way to go IMO. I'd much rather see bloom being adjusted on other handcannons instead. And if that's not enough then maybe a slight change to the Howl perk. Not a total change to RPM and the exclusive perk. When nerfing becomes the answer to everything , the game gets really really boring. Which is how d2 was made.
