Legit question. Is the raid the only way to break 660?
I cant get past 654 maybe.
Just wanna know since I just dont raid whatsoever.
Thanks to anyone who replies with relevant input. I simply dont know.
Ps. Working on my 2nd weekly prime/reckoning bounty on one character

You’ll be 700 by time the new content comes out. So enjoy gaining .17 overall power level every couple of hours. Even the raid will not really help you. Yes it does give better drops but even 3 658 drops and the rest 650 you’ll still only be about 652-653 depends if you get double drops. It’s just a miserable system through and through. And yes the raid will drop you a scout rifle 3 times in a row sometimes lower than the one you already had. Regardless it’s one of 7 slots.

There is no raid this season and yes you can break 660 with normal gameplay. You can get to max light this season (700) from prime engrams and powerful rewards like usual. There is a known bug for some players who are receiving very little to no light increase. My friends and I have been leveling up just fine. Some of us are 660-670s at this point. However at the same time there are a number of people reporting to only receive 650-651 gear or something extremely low. This is apparently a bug; They’re pushing out a quick patch pretty soon.

Getting a prime fixed the loot problem for me i was only getting 651 till i got a prime from a random add and after that all milestones started dropping normal power again

I put off doing the loaded question bounty until last night I thought to go after it, I was running basic strikes for the better part of four hours and started getting prime engrams to drop at 661. I still need to complete my powerful gear bounties I just tried another way to play last night and it was beneficial.
