I'm a fan of destiny, I bought an Xbox one to play D1, and upgraded to the X when hdr was announced for D2. After 5000+ hours of D1 and D2 this release has driven me away. Many people's good constructive feedback falls on deaf ears, the nerfing continues and the new content doesn't inspire any fun. The power fantasy is gone and D2 crucible is only for top tier players. Gaming is my hobby and should be fun, D2 isn't fun. Even helping raid noobs get there first clear feels like a chore (something my fireteam usually take great pride and enjoyment from doing). Content creators have a louder voice than ordinary gamers so the only way left to register my disappointment and disapproval is play something else. I'm hoping the competition will force Bungie to up there game and I genuinely hope to return to the franchise. I hope those who enjoy the game continue too. I know Anthems had a rough start but so did the division and that came good in the end. Also the division 2 is looking good

 • Excellent points, well said. Not far behind you in time, about 4900 hours, but I’m also walking away and not returning until we see genuine improvements on all the topics raised. Haven’t tried to Sherpa a raid since EoW. I mainly concentrated on normal modes but goddamn what have you done to this game? Nothing compares to the raid weapons and armour we received in D1. As for the exotics in D2, they’re pointless and underwhelming. Exotics were tough to get in D1, but they are -blam!-ing mythical for some poor bastards who have crappy RNG in D2. I had 458 raid completions in D1 (346 of which were hard mode), since Forsaken has dropped I’ve gotten 10 full raid completions in total. The raids are over convoluted and reward shit tier weapons and armour. No incentive to play to get them. All raid gear should be the definitive role for that weapon, have perks that contribute to helping in the raid for the armour and both weapons and armour should be master-worked. Every -blam!-ing drop. Just like D1. (Except for Masterworking, obviously 🙄) In fact while we are on this rant about weapons and armour, I’ll include sub-classes on this as well, why you ever -blam!-ing changed the way they worked from D1, I’ll never understand. It’s an accepted fact that they were categorically superior in D1. In short Bungie you have proved everyone wrong, it is possible to polish a turd 💩, D2 is proof of this. The teams in charge of gunplay, art, environments, music and lore should be proud of the work they have done on D2. They’re the poor sods who have kept this franchise alive. The rest should be ashamed of the fact they may have cost all the good devs their jobs. I hope that Bungie find their way, eat humble pie and actually provide a fitting end to this amazing franchise and respect the loyal customers like myself that once thought they were the -blam!-ing Second Coming in terms of game devs. I for one will not purchase another Destiny until the final reviews come out. Fooled me one too many times, Bungie.

 • Content creators are like a double edge sword. Yes, they have a louder voice but at the same time I feel that their input is a Destiny filled with what they want and not necessarily what the community wants as a whole. But, they do have a louder voice. I see it as we really shouldn't be telling Bungie what to do because it's their job to give us awesome content. But lately I've been scratching my head on wth they're doing.
