Well, to put it bluntly, the post-Forsaken roadmap thus far has been so idiotic it’s embarrassing they ever thought it was good enough to proceed forward with. That’s sort of Core Problem A. Core Problem B is simply that a lot of the basic quality of life work the game needs, much of it mandated by the Year 2 changes, should not be a massive developmental or resource sink. So, to significant degree, I’m not asking them to “pivot their roadmap”, I’m asking them to get their house in order and clean up their mess. D2 has been light on quality replayable content since Day 1. It’s not a new problem. Conversely, a good deal of major QoL issues (Y2 weapon systems balance, random rolls balance, obsolescence of Year 1 gear and vendors, Masterwork Cores), are new problems they created, and had to know they were making because they were intrinsic to system changes they made.

  • I get you, but they'll get to it. In the meantime, can we just enjoy the game with the new stuff coming, or are we too salty for that?

  • I have not played since October because I’ve been too put off by the state of the game, especially weapon tuning. To be clear, Bungie does not have credibility with regards to quick fixes or QoLs being “on the way” at this point. They consistently create broken Crucible metagames due to obviously bad weapon balance, and leave them untouched for months. They made year 1 gear obsolete en masse and have given zero indications that they even consider this the smallest problem, even though that pile of gear included a set of awesome looking armor that players had a narrow event window to grind out and was tied to Eververse cosmetics. As far as enjoying what content is present, I did have some fun with Forsaken’s content at launch, sure, but there really wasn’t a lot of depth to it, and ultimately the grinding became tedious for zero gain, and I’m really not seeing enough content added to get me to put more work in the game.

Yes, Forsaken story was lots of fun. But it's kind of lame that there hasn't been any new missions since. I stopped playing right before Black Armory, but I'm back now and hoping for more fun content soon. I completely agree about the awesome Solstice gear or whatever it's called. I grinded my friggin a$$ off for those sets and they look awesome but the fact we can't mod year 1 is a huge bummer, as you were saying.

  • Well, thats a shame. Again I hear you. There's a lot that needs to be addressed, but I'm more interested in playing the new content. If they don't fix it immediately, it's not gonna bother me for now. I have way too many things to think about in my actual life to worry about all this for now. Will they fix it? Hopefully. Is saying something everyday or every time new content comes out going to change something? Maybe. Will it stop me from playing? Hell no. I'll give my 2 cents, and go back to the game.
