What's everyone's view on Fallout 76?
Hey everyone, how's it going?
Been watching some vids on the up coming Fallout 76 and I'm getting more interested in the game.
I still want to see gameplay footage from someone other than the developers footage, but it sounds interesting and I'm curious how this open world is going to work out. From the PvP side to teaming up to make settlements.
Really haven't been a big fan of fallout before, but it sounds more interesting with the multi player version.
What's your thoughts? What are the thoughts of the hard core fallout fan? Any excitement for this up coming title?
To be honest, I would probably enjoy this more than playing cowboys in RDR2, but that's just me.

I'll be waiting for everything it has to be ported and implemented into a previous fallout game. That's the only thing to really look forward to. Otherwise I'm waiting on Fallout 4 New Vegas.

3 RepliesI generally don't support online-only games, and FO76 looks super basic for requiring online-only, so I'll save my sixty bucks and spend it on CP2077. They put out a full 45 minute video detailing content and mechanics, far better than most that choose instead to be super vague and then pull a bait and switch, releasing a bare bones shitfest. FO76, Anthem, most whatever else can suck it.

They never stocked the power armour edition here in ireland :( but it looks like it might be a laugh in a party for a weekend or two.

28 RepliesI'm really dissapointed that Bethesda went and made this game after they put out that #SavePlayerOne campaign. What really grinds my gears is that the game environment looks absolutely phenominal and it's being wasted on mp. And for a time I was considering trying this game, but then they announced it was going to be survival only, with weapon and armor degredation and mutations. Sorry, nope. Solid pass. If it had been designed along the same lines of Saint's Row, where it was primarily single player, but it also has OPTIONAL co-op, I wouldn't have an issue.

I think that from a lore perspective, it'll be the most barebones Fallout game we've ever seen, and that opens up a world of potential. It's multiplayer, so we can make our own stories and lore for the game. Scavenging the right gear to join a player-made faction and warring against a group of others could be some of the best times you'll have in the game. From a gameplay standpoint, it'll give Bethesda three options. They can let it wither and die, give it regular free content updates, or push expansions. The latter two options will keep the game alive for longer, allowing us to have more content and generate more hope.

At this point If they release an open beta and it's really really good then I'd get it this year, but for now I'll wait until at least next year. I'm up for a co-op Fallout having played Skyrim co-op and currently waiting for Skyrim Together's release. But Beth's lack of giving fuller details, over complication of things, keeping some useful features out and this uncertainty of mods has mostly put me off

1 ReplyI'm playing Spider-Man until AC comes out. Then I'm playing AC until RDR 2 comes out. Then I'm playing RDR 2 for the rest of my life. I don't see Fallout 76 in sight.

The way I see it, it’s Skyrim online with a fallout paint job. Same car new paint, so to speak.

It doesn’t sound like the type of game I’d like. I’m going to play the “wait and see” game, and if it’s something I might like, I’ll wait until private servers are possible.

I'll buy it, unless it generally gets negative reviews. I'm not hyped. Just interested. I dont care that it's multiplayer, because it's only been 3 years since Fallout 4. And Fallout 4 wasn't that good, so I'm ok with something a little different.

3 RepliesFrom what i have seen this is very much going to be a game that you want to play with friends. It doesnt look like it will have much for those that love the single player experience of fallout games. And as muh as i might want to try it, i highly doubt any of my friends would stick with the game, and so i doubt it will be worth it to me.

19 RepliesCouldn't care less. I'm not a big fan of Bethesda in general, and Soul Calibur next month is gonna keep me occupied until Christmas. It's only next year that I'll start playing HITMAN until Metro comes out. I'm glad they've decided to do something different, though. I support that more than anything.

3 RepliesIt seems interesting. Playing a Bethesda styled RPG with friends sounds really fun. I'm not expecting any great main story though. I would expect all the little stories you find in caves and such still to be pretty interesting and good for world building. Not enough people give them credit for those things. Not even The Witcher 3 has all those little things that don't matter in the grand scheme of things, but really flesh out the world and lore. Like there is a whole sort of semi mini quest in Fallout 4 about a mayor's bunker and what happens after the bombs drop. Then there was a ball in which you can find two skeletons that shows people tried to rob the bank, but died. Those types of things don't matter, but they did it anyway.
