No Man's Sky: Have you discovered anything cool yet?
I was looking for a new homeworld in No Man's Sky but my search was fruitless for the past few hours. Right before I signed out for the night, I spy in a rich blue Vy'keen star system a blue marble with a large ring that looks very Earth like from a distance. I scoot over to the planet and land and damn if I don't like what I see in the planet's description window:

Weather: Beautiful
Sentinels: Standard
Flora: Abundant
Fauna: Ampl-OMFG WHAT ARE THOSE GIANT MAJESTIC BEASTS FLYING OVER MY HEAD!?
I'm sure by this point you've seen the picture. The text doesn't begin to describe my excitement in seeing what I saw. Green grass, blue water, cyan sky, rocks exploding with emeralds at the seams everywhere, trees with a beautiful Autumn hue, planetary rings that would make Saturn blush and then damn if those creatures didn't [b]really[/b] get my attention. They're as large as my star ship and fly in pairs everywhere. I decided to name them "Emerald Dracogryphs" because of the coloration of their wings, their size and the fact they look like like a crossbreed of World of Warcraft's Dragonhawks and Gryphons. I'm going to keep exploring my new homeworld tomorrow night and open up my game to other players for matchmaking after I discover and name everything on the planet.
Anyway, have any of you discovered anything awesome yet?

1 ReplyExtreme heat on an arid world. 200 degrees normal temp and 570 degree firestorms. A friend joined my game and this was the planet where he had to complete his first few missions. Imagine if you had to wake up there and find your crashed ship.

1 ReplyI made my base on a paradise moon. Only problem is it has sentinels that spawn when I pick up the glowing gravity balls. Plus it has this one flying animal that’s literally just a flying snake. No wings, just a big line in the sky. Makes me uncomfortable every time I see one

I gots an extreme icy moon with constant storms for me. Only made a base here for the Radon, but might stay for the activated stellar metals.

2 RepliesIdk if anyone else has this but... I was saving up for a freighter until I found one under attack the guy gave it to me an a class freighter for free . The same thing happened when I was saving up for a ship they gave me some bad a class ship and I traded it for a fighter

2 RepliesDo you play on normal or survival? bc i've finally found a bountiful planet which isn't hostile nor frenzied (on survival) Good atmosphere, don't need any protection for once, finally. a manageable lil storm, but nothing too bad, and does feel like not too often, has time to do shit... Only big downsode is, it's an ocean planet if you will, found a decent sized continent, but running out of copper... Loaded my old save, and has to wait them to fix them 'refinery' quests, so i could do them... Not gonna start over, holy shit, almost everything fully upgraded, again
